Hi Ladies

I was just wondering if Clomid did not work the first round, does it mean it won't work second time either? We are also using Pre-seed this time around.

I am on cd 7 and taking my last pil tonight (50mg).

I also might add that my period only lasted 2 days and then about 2 days of spotting... Is this normal?

I have a regular 28cycle since forever, when can i expect to ovulate if today is cd 7 and i am taking my last clomid pill?

Any advise will be appreciated....

Do you know if you ovulated the first round? If you didn't you may need to take 100mg instead. If you did ovulate on 50mg - the medicine definitely worked. My first round on clomid I took 50mg and didn't ovulate and ended up with a very long cycle. Since I have been on 100mg I have been ovulating - but no pregnancy yet.

Before clomid I had a 31-32 day cycle and usually ovulated around day 18. Since taking clomid, I'm back to a 28 day cycle and have been ovulating around day 15. I usually can detect an LH surge with OPKs around day 13-14. The only way to be sure when you are ovulating is to use an OPK, temp, or have your doctor monitor you.

As for your period - its hard to say if it was normal or not on clomid. Personally, I've always had short periods - and mine on clomid have been about the same - 2-3 days of bleeding a couple of days of spotting.

Hello! My Dr. has prescribed me 3 months of Clomid 50 MG (taken CD 3-7).... I have to believe that if it doesn't work for me this month (my first try), then I will try again... and again... I also am trying Preseed for the first time this month. My DH and I have been TTC for three years.. we tried 3 IUI's and 1 IVF... no luck. I remain hopeful though and today I am on CD 22... The TWW is a killer! Best of luck to you...

I got my bfp on round 3 of clomid at 50 mg. I didn't ovulate the first go, but I was being monitored by ultrasound and I did grow a follicle. My periods on clomid have been very short by that is not unusual for me. Cycle 2 I ovulated day 14, but cycle 3 I didn't ovulate til day 21. My doc said to start poas from day 12.

Hey ladies

I'm on my second round of Clomid too. Well, I took my last pill on the 14th. I am hoping and praying for that BFP!

Hey ladies!! After a year of trying, my husband and i decided to give Clomid a whirl. Started on 50 mg CD 5-9 and got strep throat the week i ovulated so we didn't get to give it our best shot as i thought i was dying (lol). Obviously, no luck cycle 1. 2nd round of 50 mg i decided to give CD 3-7 a chance. Fast forward to today, i am going in for my 2nd HCG to make sure my levels are increasing. My husbands SA was completely normal and all my labs and US were also. My cycles were long and my luteal phase ended up being short. Clomid worked for us. The side effects can be brutal but worth it. I had serious hot flashes for the first week taking them and was extremely moody. Both of those things passed though a couple days after my last pill. I finally got my BFP on 12 DPO.
