Question

Pregnant with rainbow baby!---- but so scared!

In June I was pregnant with what would of been my second baby. It took a year to get pregnant with my son and that pregnancy besides a little spotting here and there it was a good pregnancy. The miscarriage happend at five weeks, I was barely pregnant but it was confirmed by the doctor. I remember the tests being dry super light.
Now I am pregnant again with my rainbow baby I am just so nervous and scared. I am constantly taking hug test trying to compare progression and I am barely waiting three hours in between. I just cant help but think we will lose this one too. Someone give me some good advice. I have not officially hit the missed period mark so I am waiting to get blood drawn from the doctor, they prefer you to wait until you have missed your period. Take a look at my tests and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Firstly, congratulations! Rainbow babies are wonderful gifts :)
Unfortunately, if you've had a miscarriage before, the way you're feeling is totally normal- frantic and worried that something might happen. I would recommend to stop testing. I know that's easier said than done, but all you'll end up doing is worrying yourself if you don't see any progression (which you won't if you're taking your tests the same day). Right now, what you need to do is stay calm and trust that your body is ready to give you a child and that the child growing inside of you will stay healthy. Get on prenatals ASAP and start taking folic acid. Being proactive about giving your baby the best chance can make you feel more in control.

Good luck! If you need to vent, feel free to message me! We were TTC 5 years and had three losses. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with our Rainbow.

Hi I have one child 7yrs and in the last 12 mths I have lost 4 babies and had 3 d&c surgeries to remove them. I've also had 2 chemicals. It is normal to want to test all the time to check progression you won't change that it's a natural thing to want to do after m/c's. When I missed my period and confirmed with my doctor for this pregnancy I had blood draws twice a week for HCG and progesterone checks up until 5 weeks then I've had weekly scans due to my history and for peace of mind. My scans are not as frequent now as I'm in my second trimester. M/c's are very common and unbalanced chromosomes are the cause of 70% of m/c's there is nothing you can do about it. Speak to your doctor when you seem him/her and explain the way u feel. GL

I am currently 4 weeks pregnant with my rainbow baby after a MC in July. I have the fear too but I am trying to remind myself every pregnancy is different. My doctor has agreed to take my HCG levels every couple days to make sure they are going up. Maybe ask your doctor if she/he can watch your levels... it is putting my mind at ease.
