Question

TTC for 13 months...VITEX ?! Is it working???

Hey everyone :) Long story short I have PCOS and been TTC for 13 months with no luck. My best guess would be that I am NOT ovulating, even with 28 day textbook periods :/

I statred Vitex a week and a half ago and I have HORRIBLE acne. I never used to get any except for ONE pimple right before my period. Has anyone ever had this happen on Vitex? Or could this be something else?

I don't know about Vitex. But if you want to be sure you are ovulating you need to chart your BBT. Good luck!

Hi....I am also TTC and have the dreaded PCOS too!!! I have been taking Agnus Castus for about 4months (somedays I do forget to take it!!) I have not had a period since I started trying for a baby 5months ago and dont think I am ovulating either :( After reading your question it has made me think that my acne has actually got worse over the past few months too! So maybe it is the tablets. It is sooooo frustrating isnt it?!!!! Good luck TTC and hopefully it will happen soon :) xxxxx

Hi i have been ttc for almost four years. I was told at first that i had PCOS but later after seeing a fertility specialist who did testing i found out that i didn't have it. I do have a ovulation disorder and i do not typicaly ovulate. I started vitex and took it for a bit then stopped. I started taking it again in september along with fertilaid. I have not had any issues with acne while on vitex. Maybe seeing a specialist would help you to see if you have a issue prevening you from getting pregnant. I have read with vitex that it's effects at helping regulate cycles/ovulation increase over time.

Hello, I took vitex for about three months and then went on to fertile aid. It brought my cycle from 45 days down to 35 days. Still didn't get pregnant. So finally after a year of trying I got an appointment with an ob. I told him that I had been taking vitex or chasteberry tree and he had no clue what it was. So that right there told me not to bother with it. I STONGLY suggest getting your blood work done and making sure your progesterone is right. That was my problem. I shortened my cycles with vitex but it did not help with ovulation. Your best bet is probably Clomid.

hi I just had to reply to this question again by telling you I found out I am pregnant last week!!! Without having a period.....I was convinced I wasn't ovulating but i obviously did about 6weeks ago :) Anyways.....I had been having reflexology once a week for 6weeks (I must have got pregnant after 3 sessions) I am convinced that this helped to kickstart everything!!! It maybe something for you to consider as you have PCOS like me. It is also so relaxing :) Give it a go! Good luck xxxxxx

I tried the Vitex, and it did nothing for me :( I had been referred to an infertility clinic, and when I asked them about it, they'd never heard of it either. They then diagnosed me with PCOS, and started me on Metformin. If we're not pregnant by April, then they're going to start me on Clomid.
