Short luteal phase
I had a natural m/c at 4 1/2 weeks two months ago. Now my cycles are shorter and I have a 9 day luteal phase. Anyone have this and get pregnant or know of any ways to lengthen it?? I really want my cycles to b normal so I can ttc again. Fx for everyone!!

Hi. I don't have this but I know that if you get progesterone cream it is supposed to help lengthen your Luteal Phase so that your egg can implant. You can get it almost anywhere. I know early pregnancy tests.com sells it. It is typically used by women going through menopause but it has been used to help lengthen your LP. Hope this helps! Baby Dust******

It may just take a little while for your cycles to return to normal after your loss. I have also heard that a B6 vitamin/B Complex can help a luteal phase. If you think you have low progesterone it can be tested with a simple blood test 7 days after ovulation. If you don't have low progesterone taking it will be of no help. And if it is low, you will want a prescription. The over the counter creams aren't as helpful for raising levels to where they should be.

Did your cycle ever even out on it's own, or did you end up having to continue using the cream?
I am having a similar problem. I had a MMC at 9 weeks (D&C). My first cycle after had a LP of 9 days (we didn't TTC that time). I am now into my second LP after D&C, and think I covered all the bases trying to conceive this time, but now I am extremely worried that my LP will just be too short again.
**My first MMC had nothing to so with short LP, as it wasn't short back then. Just after my D&C my cycles have been wacky

I ended up taking progesterone suppositories and it did help with my short luteal phase. But we just found out DH has slight low sperm motility so we are taking a break and im not sure what my luteal phase will be because im not temping or taking opks this month. Dh is taking fertility blend to help him and im hoping in the mean time i just happen to get pregnant. =) we meet with a urologist and then my obgyn to see if she suggests iui. Im so sorry for your loss and hate that we even have to go through this.
