6 weeks 6 day ultrasound. Flicker of a heart, no mention of a fetal pole, but definite yolk sak. Ok?
Is this ok? By the date of my LMP, January 5th, I'm at 6 weeks 6 days and had an ultrasound today. The tech identified the yolk sac very clearly and said there's no way it's a blighted ovum. She says she caught flickers of the heartbeat. We didn't see a baby though. She told me it could still be too early to see it because it's so tiny. Does this sound normal to anyone else at almost 7 weeks?

my last pregnancy, i had my first scan at about the same time and all i saw was the sac and yolk sac no heart beat and it was ok... the fact that you got flickers of a heart beat is awesome! it's totally ok to not see much of anything right now, you got two important features so take a sigh of relief mama!

Seems normal to me. From what I've read it varies from person to person what you'll get to see at that stage. And probably the positioning of baby makes a difference for sure. It's great you could see a heartbeat - there wouldn't be one if there wasn't a baby! Congrats and good luck to you as your pregnancy progresses!
