My first baby at 38

Posted by Hazel7
I just found out I'm pregnant !!! I'm so excited !!!

My boyfriend and I are both 38 years old, and we started TTC in January this year. We did not BD every day during the fertile period for a few months, but at the beginning of May, I said 'This is our month'. Let's do this ! So, I was dicknapped by my boyfriend every day during my fertile window ! Ah ah !
My symptoms during the TWW were bloating, cramps, urinating often and insomnia. But what really made me realize I might be pregnant was the intense cramping at 7 dpo and NO sore breast after ovulation.
I quit tea in april when I read it's too acidic for uterus and a good CM.
I used OPK as a backup and did my pregnancy test at 13 dpo.
Now a new adventure begins !
Baby dust to you all !

BFP at 40 it can happen

Posted by Tapuzina
I have been trying for the first time for the last 6 months. I have a 9cm fibroid and a 4 cm fibroid and was told I wouldn't be able to get pregnant because of fibroids but too scared of surgery I kept trying. On my last 5 cycles I had every symptom in the book but all BFNs. This cycle I did an HSG which opened up one of my tubes (the other one is blocked due to the large fibroid). I did an IUI 3 days after the HSG (also did 225 Gonal f shots for 7 days since day 2 of cycle) and got a faint BFP 10 dpo (and iui). I am still in shock... Hoping it's a sticky one :)

I did not log my symptoms this month (b/c I couldn't take the disappointments) but from what I remember I just had mild AF symptoms early on, felt tired, and mild nausea since about 5-6dpo especially after eating.

In case anyone is wondering I eat a plant based diet (no meat or milk products) and take supplements (in addition to prenatals) such as Vit D, B12, Beta Carotene, CoQ10, fish oil and Choline.

Baby dust to all!

When Does The Shock Settle?

Posted by bbyforrello
I still cant believe it. I'm staring at the two lines saying "What do I do? What do I do?.." I thought I was going to cry, maybe shout out in joy but instead, I just kept saying "What do I do?" I never expected to get a positive pregnancy test at 10dpo. We had been trying for three months and this is the outcome I wanted, but what do I do? My boyfriend Jake , of 10 years was working the night shift only started a few hours before I took the test. I had to wait all night until 730 am to tell him. A few days before, I asked my best friend what the difference between heartburn and acid reflux. She gave me a blank stare (she knows were ttc). She explained the differences and finished her WebMD analysis with " That a pregnancy symptom" I didn't believe her of course. Every time I told her I was feeling something, she would raise her eyebrows and say...PREGNANT?! I of course had to google it myself. When I say the symptoms of heartburn I realized I have been experiencing it for almost 4 days now. That was just strange. My diet had changed at all so if I never had it before I shouldn't have it now. I looked at my calendar and realized I was 4 days from my period. Usually I'm experience tummy troubles that send me to the bathroom every hour and lower back pain if AF was around the corner. But I felt, fine. I even had almost a flutter feeling in my belly. Like I was really nervous but in a good way. I felt pregnant.
After staring at those two lines on May 11th couldn't believe my eyes. I dove under the bathroom sink and fished out my emergency Clear Blue Digital. Waited for the countdown. And there, in black letters, boldly placed for me to clearly see...PREGNANT. I'm still shocked. I've looked back at the tests multiple times today and still, shock. My boyfriend on the other hand is joyously terrified. Our amazing, beautiful gift from god is making us more nervous than we ever have been in both of our lives put together. And we cant wait. About bloody time lol

Hello ladies! I am 25 and my DH is 32. We both have high stress jobs, him being a police officer and myself working for the government, so our schedules were a pain to overcome when trying to conceive. I have severe endometriosis and was put on 50mg of Clomid just to increase my chances of conceiving. After six months, it finally worked!
I am six days late, and I believe the only reason it was a success was because we stopped trying this month. I know that is easier said than done, and I would always roll my eyes when someone said, “just relax” or “it will happen when it is supposed to”. Well joke is officially on me lol! I have 28 day cycles and have never been late so when each day went by and AF did not show, I became hopeful. This cycle was a bit off than my previous ones and I think I ovulated two days or so later than I normally do. My OBGYN also said once you conceive it can take anywhere from 6 days to 12 days for implantation to occur, and I ended up being the end of that timeline (12 days). That day ended up being the day I was supposed to start my AF, so here are my symptoms since the day of my missed period/Implantation day since my cycle was a bit off than most.
Day of missed period/Implantation: For about 3 to 4 hours I have pinkish CM when I wiped and then it has been gone ever since. Acne was intense, I normally have small pimples before my period but these were a whole new level. Severe cramping around the same time as having the pink CM. Sex drive increase. Sore boobs and nipples
Day 2 of missed period: Acne. Sore nipples, not so much full boob anymore. Cramps on and off. Insomnia. Sex drive increase.
Day 3 of missed period: Acne. Sore nipples again. Frequent urination and increased Creamy CM. Insomnia with crazy dreams. Sex drive increase.
Day 4 of missed period: Acne went away. CM is insane. Insomnia with scary dreams. Sore nipples. Slight cramps. Craving salty foods and made a crazy pizza with feta, cherries, and prosciutto. Faint BFP
Day 5 of missed period: Fatigue all day long but the second I get a chance to sleep, insomnia kicks into high gear. Sore nipples. Bloating. Holy CM batman! I thought pregnant women dried up immediately down there but noooo. Also was emotional/kind of a b word so I feel bad for my husband. Craving salty foods.
Day 6 of missed period/today: Bloating. Fatigue. Emotional. Sore nipples. Creamy CM still hanging around. Couldn’t sleep last night and had scary dreams the entire time. Afraid to take another HPT until Sunday so that way the baby will have been implanted for a week and one day so I can get a darker HPT. Hungry.
I hope this story helps women on here as it shows you are never truly out of the fight until AF decides to show up. My cycle was way off during the one cycle I did not care about as much, and here I am pregnant with my first mini me. I pray it is a sticky one and I pray for every lady on here. I have read almost every success story during the months that I was trying and I was always comforted by the personal experiences and hope.
