Ok, a few things I have done differently this cycle as opposed to the last are:
1) After BD, I have in the past put a pillow under my hips and then put my legs on the wall or something similar. This time, (having looked up advice for people with retro uterus trying to get pregnant) I tried their suggestions which was to actually try it doggie style, :) and then keep lying down on my stomach with a pillow just under my hips. So the opposite of putting the legs on the walls.
2) I feng shui'd our bedroom a bit. I feng shui'd our house a bit. Mostly de-cluttering 'to make room for the new baby'. I bought 3 wooden elephants of different sizes, mum, dad and a baby elephant. Elephants are supposed to bring symbolise maternity and maternal instincts. I also bought a Balinese wooden fertility sculpture.
3) We BD'd every day instead of every second day, a few days leading up to Ovulation a few days past it.
4) I used one of those Maybe Baby ovulation predictors, but I found it did not help me much. The 'ferning' only really came after my usual ovulation (and my period is usually on time.) But I did have a sneaking suspicion it was ferning more and more after my ovulation because I was getting pregnant! And its true!
Now Im not saying any of the above will work for people, but I guess I believed in the power of feng shui (being chinese myself). I think the retro utero thing may have been 'the thing'. Tho hard to be sure really.
Now Im hoping I will sail through the first trimester with no problems at all (and of course through the next two.) It is nerve wrecking every time i go to the toilet and slightly scared I will see blood or spotting (which is how my last pregnancy which ended up in a miscarriage at 6-7 weeks was.) But this time, it feels different. Even the CM/ maybe a teeny bit of spotting is different. fingers crossed. Wishing you all lots of luck with your baby making. Its not easy, keep the faith!
