Saliva Microscope

Just prior to ovulation, estrogen levels increase dramatically resulting in biochemical changes in the composition of your saliva. This spike in estrogen - which indicates that your peak fertile time of the month is at hand - is easily detected when a saliva sample is viewed under a microscope. It creates a highly recognizable "fern-like" pattern which resembles frost on a windowpane.
