Why OPKs bad as HPTs: I am confirmed by RE as 4 wks 2 days pregnant. Took this OPK as curious. Not a good indicator of hCG. LH & hCG may be sister hormones, but OPKs are NOT good indicators of hCG at all. My beta is 200!!! You have LH surge before AF too, so + opks before AF could be from that. Thought you might like to see progression :) I was happy with these tests (88 cents at Walmart near pharmacy) within time limit. You can see they looks gross after that as dry. RE said only with ICs though. Tests like FRER are specially formulated to only read hCG. Worth the extra $$$! Wow!

RE told me never use IC HPTs as can pick up LH and falsely give BFP. To test her theory, I took HPT since know not preggers: tah dah! Will never use again! Thought only OPKs use as HPT. Nope!
