Hcg indicates you are pregnant. Premenopause just means your less likely to get pregnant not impossible.

Actually I read and doc said when u start
Premenopausal that hcg can be present
And not be preg
I thought I was preg a year ago and hcg
Was only 4

So I am guessing it's just that because
My tests r not getting darker

Idk need to see doc soon anyway

You are correct about hormones changing during menopause. And yes, jus like ovarian cyst, you can get a pos test and not be pregnant...

So why are you testing unless you think you could be pregnant?

I tested becaus I was actually pregnant
Twice in the last 3 yrs but lost both
So I still get random periods and I test
Every once in a while to make sure

Did you turn out to be pregnant? I'm having hot flashes, nausea, pms symptoms, and I'm now 19 dpo.

I'm 44 - seems like a waste of money to spend money on a pregnancy test. I've had several miscarriages, an ectopic, etc. etc. and my symptoms were never like this.

Note - the hot flashes aren't of the personal summer kind - they are on average 8-10 times a day - and pinging between extreme heat and icy cold. And the nausea lasts all day. It's rolling.

Not sure if you are still following - but I hate peri. I gave up a few years ago and now basically use the tool to track down / countdown to menopause.

Stopped using my progesterone cream 5 days ago (doing 14 on and 14 off per gyno). Still no period. Cramps, backpain, sore boobs - no period.

Sucks.
