Intoduction - TTC >1year
Hello all! My husband and I have been TTC for over a year with no luck. I finally figured maybe some support would help.
I stoped taking BC December of 2013, I had a short period after that, but after that I had no period for over a year! I finally had one, it started on January 4 and continued to the 5. It was light, and now it is gone. But at least it is something.
The doctor said I am most likely having issues because I was very close to be underweight and because of the frequency and intensity of my workouts. I would run 6 miles a day five days a week, in addition to strength exercises and a stationary bike. I cut my workout to 3 miles a day and my other routine. Still, nothing was happening. My husband looked up inforamtion on the internet and said I need to stop running so much, so I looked it up as well. He was right. In November I stopped running so much. Now I only run three days a week and only in 6 minute intervals with walking in between. After that and eating more, I finally got a period so I think my husband was right.
This has been a hard, frustrating journey. I just started BBT charting so hopefully that helps and hopefully my periods will continue and we will end up pregnant at some point. I was going to see another specialist this month when my new insurance kicks in, but now that I am actually having a period, we may wait a month or two to see if we can do this on our own!
I'm taken Clomid three times now and it did nothing for me, but that was just when I was seeing my GYN, not an infertility specialist.
Anyway, that's my story up to now! I hope I can find some support and friends here.

Hi pixie! That definitely sounds frustrating. I went off bcp two months ago, and my first "real" period was very strange. I enjoy running as well- about 2 miles, 3 times a week. I'm happy to hear that you have been able to get a period again by cutting back, but that u are still active :-)
Anyways, i am sending u tons of

Thank you! :) It feels great to be active. I've read a ton of stuff too that says staying fit during pregnancy helps you out during labor, so that's good!
Was your first period light too? Last month I had just one spot of discharge that was brownish and nothing else. At first I thought it might have been implementation bleeding but when I got a BFN I started thinking maybe that was just a really weird really short period.

I used it last month when I stopped bcp, and I noticed that I could feel ovulation. It is a great way to take the guessing out of it- it might end up saving you time :-) I'd just be careful with the clearblue brand that tells you "high fertility" (high estrogen) as well as "peak fertility" (LH surge). If you start testing too early, it could give you like 8 days of "high"...
