Like you I am 43 Sariah, which means, if all goes well, I will have this one at 44! This is my second cycle, so not quite a one-shot deal, but close given all the data I was exposed too when researching the odds.

I am going to the Dr. today to have the pregnancy confirmed. The digital I took a couple of days ago said 1-2 weeks. Yesterday's (there are 2 in the pack) said 2 - 3 weeks. I am still having a hard time believing it. I really don't feel anything much.

Lots of baby dust to all!

Ricki---really anticipating to know your outcome with the digital?

Congrats ladies!!!
Shake that baby dust & sticky sticky bean vibes to all of you!

I'm pretty new to all this forum stuff too!

I'm 40 & TTC #1.. Unexplained infertility, never been pg & DH & I have been trying on & off for two years...
Then I turned 40 & the stats scared me to death, so 2 fertility specialists later:
HSG was super
IUI with injectable FSH & Ovidrel BFN December 2014
Jan 2015: 9dpo & learning to chart & hoping for a BFP

Hi ladies...
I woke up this morning, and it was all over. Bloody urine, followed by AF 2 hrs later. :(

I did take the digital anyway, and it malfunctioned. Guessing because of the bloody urine? The reg test came out faint. No sticky :(
Guess that's why they say we shouldn't take these tests so early.....I would've never known. But at least I'm ovulating. Gotta be one good egg in me. "Ya never know".

Today is a new cycle for me.
It's all good. :)
(Better to know now than long weeks from now.)

Rikki_22, that's really disappointing! I like what you said about Ovd, looks like you're fertile & hot to trot! I am sure there is a lush egg ready & waiting!

I don't test for another few days.. Trying to contain myself & not test too soon! Too late! Tested! BFN

It's a tough gig this two week wait! Thanks for your updates

Hmm, not sure what to think now. I bled bright read on dpo14, still with a faint Bfp. Yesterday am, dpo15, there was hardly anything. All day yesterday, hardly anything. Woke up, dpo16, and dried spotting. My second af day is always an every 2hr change. Guess I'll be going to the dr tomorrow. But now I can't help but think.....am I still in???????

Sorry things are so stressful for you Rikki, it must be very confusing .
I find the TWW bad enough but throw in faint BFPs and bleeding - that would drive me bonkers. Hope things work out for you.

I am just waiting to confirm ovulation and start my TWW.

Hi all.

I do think 43 is the new 23! I feel like I am really in the prime of my life. Maybe not always energy-wise, but mentally for sure : - )

I am definitely pregnant. Almost 5 weeks now. I was a little disappointed as when I went to the dr., they performed the urine test. Not the blood test. I won't even get any other testing until starting 2/6/16.

They seem to have lots of prenatal appointment options. I am interested in the centering appointment option whereby you attend as a group with women who have due dates around the same as yours. My due date (universe willing) is 9/16/15. At these centering appointments, you learn to take your own vitals and then there are various topics and discussions run by the lead OB/GYN nurse. She said it's more like a social than a regular visit, and you get to bond with others. Since I haven't done this for a while, I figured, it would be nice to meet others in the same boat.

Rikki - Still sending positive energy your way. New cycle, new beginning...

Also, if you are bleeding, but not really at a full flow...Could it just be that you may be one of those women who spot during their pregnancy? My mother said that she would have a mini-period each month, for a few months with most of us, and from my research, it seems sometimes that happens??

Any of you ladies who have had babies before, do a VBAC?
Briefly, what was your experience like?

~rikki here~ :)

I went to the dr this afternoon, and neg urine. My morning still had a faint.
They took blood, and had Ultra sound,,,,,nada. All looks good in there, just a thin patch of some blood n mucus, probably where the implantation was. No small dot. Tubes clear.

She said the blood results will tell if chemical or mc.

I have to say I leaned a lot about our body this past cycle. As far as my third try, it was a hell of a good try. But with my age, this will be expected.

I have no problem ovulating....just pretty much the egg issue, and hormones. Even though I'm not going through my changes or having such symptoms, my body knows how old I am, and our hormones start going haywire starting at 35/36. She said that's why woman at that age and up, are high mc risk. If our hormones spike irradicatly, even for a min she said, during implantation n early pregnancy, the body will automitally turn off the switch to pregnancy hormones.
Interesting.

It was a roller coaster cycle. I'm sad, but also beleive in, if it's meant to be, it'll be. I honestly didn't even think I would be able to get pregnant, so this is a good sign. Not sure how many more tries I'll go at it. This really made me a bit mental. Oy. We'll see. This charting thing is kinda fun though.

peace!
