When to try again after miscarry

We have five babies here with us and two angels. We just had a loss, we saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks, measuring smaller than expected and they expected a loss. There was no heartbeat a week later. Just had a DandC. Our first loss we suffered five years ago and have had three healthy babies since then, the most recent nine months ago. How soon after a DandC and loss should we be trying again? My OB suggested three months, and when I asked that women over 40 not wait bc of age he said he didn't apply that rule to me but I still don't want to miss out. I also want to make sure everything is ready to support a baby. Insight? Ideas? Supplements?
