October 2017

Since I didn't see this topic yet I figured I'd be the first to start it. This is for those of us still traveling our TTC journey in hopes of achieving our October 2017 miracles. I am at CD1 my name is Jalisa.. Some history on myself... I am 23 and DH 44, he just recently had a vasectomy reversal and everything came out great! This cycle #2 for us and we ttc #1 for me and #3 for him... I have previously had 2 miscarriages one at 18 and another at 21. The first I wasn't aware of but the second I was 4 months. I wish all of you ladies baby dust and sticky vibes!

@ BrownSugar - You're symptoms sound very promising!! Keep us updated!

@ Meghan - Sounds like you're getting close to testing time! Got my fingers crossed for you!!

@ FeliChica - Good luck catching that egg!!

AFM - I had my first consult at the fertility clinic yesterday. They did more blood tests (in addition to what my OB did after my last mc) and did an ultrasound. All they told me was that I have a "clear dominant follicle", so, basically I'm about to ovulate. We're hoping to catch that egg this week, but I feel like we have a 'game plan' if we're still not successful. DH goes in for semen analysis next week (which he's more than willing to do, but not super excited about...) and if/when I start my next cycle, they'll schedule me for an HSG.
They said that even if I get pregnant this month, the specialist wants to follow me for the first trimester since I've had recurrent pregnancy loss.

Anyone here ever had an HSG? Wouldn't mind hearing about other people's experiences with it, since I just don't know what to expect.

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!

@Meghan83 I cannot wait for you to test!

@secallender the average bfp doesn’t show up until 13dpo, so it’s ok to be getting negatives at this point. It’s those damn unicorns with their dark 8dpo tests making the rest of us feel bad.

@FeliChica92 I feel sick around O-time - nausea, headache, cramping. It usually goes away by 3DPO

@ Babybump89 any route that results in a baby is a good route, right?

@Jeaniebeanie7 you have the patience of a SAINT. I’ve been testing every previous cycle starting at 8DPO like a crazy person

@AlittleFaith, never had an HSG, but anecdotes seem to suggest that people get pregnant very quickly after??? Fingers crossed for you either way

AFM... I got a better line on a wondfo today (posted) but FRER is still a no, using the last one on friday. OPKs are still very positive. I felt AWFUL yesterday, just uncomfortable in every possible way: nausea, sore muscles, sore joints, minor cough, sore boobs (at least they look nice). Oh and I started crying during the closing remarks of Obama's final press conference, because he's leaving, and I am NOT a sentimental person.

Hello, I am new here. I am almost 29 and husband 30. We have been trying one cycle but AF on the 17th so trying again this cycle! If it works this cycle i would be due end of october. Trying to not think about it too much but here i am nonetheless
We also leave in different places at the moment which is not nice bc conceiving can't happen without us thinking about it - we need to plan when to travel and be together to conceive at right time..taking the romance out of it a bit but never mind..
I cheer on the girls who are soon testing for October baby. Anyone trying for end of october?

@marieO - how long have you been charting cycles? If you can guess around when you ovulate, you can surprise him with a romantic night or two and not tell him it's about TTC. That's pretty much how I've been operating when we're apart, and hopefully it's worked!

My update: I got impatient with the wondfos and tried my last FRER, got what looks like an indent, so I'm completely done with that overpriced curved-handled nonsense. Moved on to clear blue, got a superfaint line, but it's there and AF is not (due today, actually, no sign of her). I think my POAS addiction is calming down with a few positives under my belt now, but I'm reluctant to get betas done until I can see something obvious on a test. I will try to get that posted soon.

@meghan83 I know your ticker says one more day-ish, any symptoms?

MarieO, welcome and good luck! My husband and I are also on our second cycle TTC and hoping we caught a sticky one!

ALittleFaith and BrownSugar, thank you for asking :) I didn't have anything new today (13DPO) but feel good about my extreme breast tenderness and size, lol. The other thing I feel really good about is my BBT staying high. I set my ticker for Sunday at 9am. If no AF, I will test with a dollar store cheapie, and if there's a line then I'll confirm with a CB digital! (Not wasting that digital just to see the words "not pregnant" again) I will share my results here ASAP

BrownSugar, also:

(I am SO hoping we will be Twin Due Date Bump Buddies! )

ALiittleFaith, is HSG the procedure where they put dye through your tubes to see if they're clear? Or something else? Anyway, that's really cool that you got to see your egg ready to burst! Good luck during your FW :)

@meghan83 That would be so cute! Fx for your !
I'm not getting squinters anymore but FRER and CB still refuse to show anything beyond questionable shadows. I might just skip ahead to the blood tests bc this is getting ridiculous.

ahhhhhhh I can't wait for you to test

Thank you for inviting me over to the board meghan83, I'm so excited to be here after getting my CB digi yesterday (12 dpo and also the day that my brother and his wife had their baby boy!) so I have an EDD of October 3rd. OH & I are both 36 with 2 children (17 & 6). So I'll have a newborn and an 18 year old!

I totally understand the 'why not me?' that so many have mentioned from previous cycles or friends being pregnant, I've felt that enough times and thought I'd never have anymore but hang in there, you've got this.

Congrats to all those with their BFP so far and and fingers crossed for everyone in their TWW! Ooh meghan83, just saw you got your BFP this morning! Congrats!

Do you ladies know if there is a secret Facebook group created already? I wanted to creation if not so that those us who will be expected our babies in Sep-Dec of 2017 can experience the tourney together...
