October 2017

Since I didn't see this topic yet I figured I'd be the first to start it. This is for those of us still traveling our TTC journey in hopes of achieving our October 2017 miracles. I am at CD1 my name is Jalisa.. Some history on myself... I am 23 and DH 44, he just recently had a vasectomy reversal and everything came out great! This cycle #2 for us and we ttc #1 for me and #3 for him... I have previously had 2 miscarriages one at 18 and another at 21. The first I wasn't aware of but the second I was 4 months. I wish all of you ladies baby dust and sticky vibes!

Happy to see so many new ladies join! I'm all set to start my injections tomorrow for IVF, so still on track for an October due date. Here's hoping it works!

I have been cleaning out a lot of my ttc stuff since finding out about my total tubage block. Since we won't be able to ever conceive naturally, I didn't see the point in my little ttc stockpile. Stupidly I threw away all my ovulation tests, sorry! But, I have a brand new unopened/unpunctured tube of PreSeed if any of you are interested! I was going to just throw it away, but it seems like such a waste, so I'd be willing to mail it to one of you who might want it/need it :) US only though, sorry, just want to avoid the whole shipping liquid/gel internationally. Just let me know! I already opened the applicators so I won't send those, but you can just use your fingers or a syringe or get some new applicators if you want. Just let me know if any of you want it!

*edit*
It's been claimed! Here's to some baby making and hoping it works :)

Hello ladies! I would love to join you all on this journey for an October 2017 baby. I am 37 and DH is 31. TTC #3 for me and #1 for him. We started trying in October and were immediately successful, sadly it only lasted 6 weeks. Last week I had 2 faint bfp but all tests after that were bfn. Expecting af tomorrow, so here we go again. I do really worry that my age is a factor (since I had no problem at all conceiving and carrying my 9 or 12 year old) but trying to keep a positive outlook.Good luck to all of you this month!

Good morning and happy Sunday!

I ovulated overnight, the night before last/early early morning yesterday, so I recorded O as yesterday, making me 1DPO today. My EDD would be Sept 30, but it seems like most of us who are still awaiting our BFP have moved over here to October so here I am. DH and I both have October birthdays so we would love our baby to have one too!

This is my third cycle temping and it's definitely the most consistent and clear with a really good spike today about a full degree higher than my pre ovulation temps last week. I'm thrilled with it and attribute it to what I suspect may have been a CP last cycle helping my body gear up and get hormones in order. I don't know if our BD timing was quite as good this cycle, but it's done now.

How's everyone else doing? Anyone else post ovulation yet?

BabyBump89, thinking of you especially in your first IVF cycle- how exciting to be taking control after discovering the blocked tubes! Hopefully this will be it for you!

ALittleFaith, I'm also excited for you getting your fertility consultation! Please keep us updated on what you learn!

Thank you Meghan! I've heard great things about temping and how accurate it pinpointed ovulation. I never could remember to check it first thing every morning (especially since I wake up first and didn't want a beeping thermometer waking up hubs) so I stuck to just dip tests. But it always detected a surge about when my calendar says I would ovulate, so I didn't worry about it :)

2 injections down so far and happy to say I can't even feel the needle go in! I have been stressing most about that. When we first started ttc I never EVER thought we would be on track for IVF so I'm still coming to terms with it, we always figured we would give up if it hadn't happened after a few months..but what can I say, baby fever struck and now we're all out of pocket to make it happen.

Keep us posted everyone! I want to see some BFPs and hopefully have an October baby with y'all!

Hi ladies! Happy new year! Today I am cd 3 and just found out my dear friend is pregnant! Yay but at the same time.... Why not me?!?! It really hit hard for DH to find out ... I think it's getting hard on him too. This just makes me want to be stronger for the both of us. He's been holding it in long enough. It's been a tough journey but it's encouraging to know we're not in this alone. I think after this month it's time for us to seek some professional advice. Do we Go to my obgyn or straight to a specialist/ fertility clinic? Thanks for your answers and encouragements! Best of luck to us all! Hopefully we'll be like the last topic with many bfp and wonderful new year miracles!

Hi,

I'm 37, DH is 33. TTC #1 for 15 months. No BFP. Waiting for fertility clinic appt but not sure how far we will go with that. I thought my cycles were regular at 29 to 30 days so I stopped charting... And this month I was surprised at a 27 day cycle, so I guess I should start again!

Missannmarie, if you're serious about getting some fertility answers definitely skip your OBGYN and go straight to a fertility clinic. I went to my OBGYN first and explained all my symptoms (extremely painful cramps, unprotected sex 5 years, etc) and she just basically shrugged and said "just have sex on days 8,10,12, and 14 and you'll be pregnant the next time I see you!" So I stupidly said "ok!" And spent the next 3 months of no success before going to a fertility clinic and them immediately telling me "yeah that's not right, something is causing you not to conceive" and even told me OBGYN really can't do anything for fertility. So it was a waste of time and money to see my OBGYN about it!

And if it makes you feel better, at least at my clinic, a fertility specialist can do everything that an OBGYN does. They just have an emphasis on reproductive endocrinology so they can get to the root of the problem. And a lot of them will be covered by insurance - since I had painful cramps the tests they ran were covered because they didn't say it was to see if I could get pregnant, but rather checking my discomfort. Even though it WAS to see if I could get pregnant. If that makes sense?

Babybump89 thank you for your honest advice! That's the response I received when I went to see my obgyn the 'first' time. 'Oh you're fine, nothing to worry about, just track and have intercourse on these days.' I loved the reassurance but it's been a year now... Now I better understand their role... they are there when you are already pregnant. My next question would be... where should I start to find a trustworthy RE or fertility clinic? ????Thanks again so much for your help. I've been pretty fortunate that my cramps are not too painful. I noticed the first two days I am extremely fatigue though and just have the worst mood swings. Don't want to see people or get out of the house but DH always encouraged me and I slowly get out and feel much better that I did. Wondering if there's another way that my insurance will cover my inquiries. Thank you!

Hello Ladies! I see a few familiar names in here. I'm not technically trying this month, but I'm lurking just to cheer you all on! Hopefully lots of BFPs!

I had a d&c two weeks ago to clean out a bad endometrial cyst and get me to ground zero before starting working with the fertility clinic so in two weeks, I get to start trying again. We had to take a month off. But I recovered quickly so hopefully we'll be extra fertile next month and I'll still have a late Oct/early Nov EDD if we get lucky. All my tests came back pretty normal, so we're optimistic this might help.

On cycle #5 ttc after a loss. Hubs and I are both mid 20s, planning on 3 but realizing how difficult it really is to get pregnant I'll be relieved/grateful to have one in my arms at all.

If everything goes well this cycle I'll be on the cusp of September and October due dates!
