HCG generally has a half life of 27 hours, meaning that every 27 hours, the amount in your system is decreased by half. So, if you did Ovidrel 250mcg (250mcg is approximately 6,700IU) as your trigger shot, 27 hours after the shot, you'd have 3,350IU of hcg in your system. It's easier to work with 24 hours, so here's a little chart using 6,700IU (some trigger shots are 10,000, some are 5,000 - Ovidrel is the most common for IUI, 10,000 is the most common for IVF). Keep in mind that since I've used 24 hours instead of 27, by the 8th day past trigger shot, we're off by an entire day.

**remember, we're off by an entire day at this point, but 10-11dpt is when you should be below the threshhold for the most sensitive tests - the lowest I've personally seen Wondfo or FRER pick up is 8

HOWEVER, what you see on the test results is also influenced by the amount of dye in the test, how diluted your urine is, and your own particular metabolism.

AFM: DPO 6, trying to push the days! Last night I had brown discarge on my pants and today I was very nauseous in the morning that. I dont let my self to think that these could be implantation symptoms! It is early to feel anything.....

I agree with essemkay and just want to share this with you regarding hCG shots (I found this few months ago):

hCG has a half-life of 28 hours in your body, which means that your hCG levels should decrease by half every 28 hours. There are three injection amounts; 10 000 IU, 5000 IU, and 2500 IU. If you have had the 10 000 IU shot, you'll need to wait for at least 14 days after the shot to take the pregnancy test; the 5000 IU test will have you waiting 10 days, and a week's wait for the 2500 IU shot.

Ok ladies I nuts. I go from worrying I will not ovulate to now worrying I will to soon. My iui is at 10 tomorrow. I tested positive at 730 am today.
