Need your help to understand what to do further

Hi! I decided to post here cause I need someone to give me a piece of advice on what to do further. I’m 36 years old. I was born in Ukraine, but an American guy 10 years ago. We’re really happy in our marriage. When I was 28, I gave birth to my first and the only baby. The things went really tough. My womb was torn into pieces while I was giving birth to my baby and the doctors extracted it. So I’m not able to give birth to children anymore. We decided to find surro mum to help us, because we dream to have more children. At present, we’re not in the USA. My hubby decided to open a business in Ukraine and we’re there. We decided to contact the Ukrainian clinic to help us find a woman who would agree to help. The clinic we’ve contacted is Biotexcom. It’s situated in Kiev so it’s very convenient for us to deal with them so we don’t have to travel anywhere. The clinic had quite a lot of favorable feedbacks on various fertility forums. However, when we came to visit the clinic for the first time, the things were quite different there. The clinic is situated in a small private mansion. Its halls are always overcrowded. There were large queues to each doctor’s office. We had to wait nearly two hours before the clinic’s representatives met us. My husband and I didn’t like it very much!!!! When we asked the administrator why we had to wait so long, she advised us to come another day or consult another clinic. I think it was extremely impolite. My husband wanted to leave the clinic, but I asked him to wait. Finally, when we met our manager and the clinic’s doctor, they didn’t seem friendly either. They talked very formally. Of course, we didn’t like all these moments and weren’t ready to sign up a contract with this clinic. Now we are at home and thinking of our our further steps. From the one hand, there were loads of things we didn’t like about Biotexcom. In other Ukrainian clinic the things were quite different. Extremely polite and friendly administrator, very understandable and sympathizing doctor and empty clinic hall. There were no queues and noise. The atmosphere is very calm and even frightening. Is there anybody here who has already dealt with Biotexcom and Isida (the name of the other Ukrainian clinic)? Can you share your impressions with me? I will gladly appreciate everything: clues, tips, life stories…

Hi, MissKey! Really sorry for you having such serious health issues. If I were in your shoes, I would check their success ratings. They may be rather high and it may be the main reason why the clinic has so many visitors. Is biotexcom a cheap clinic? If it’s so, be ready that you’ll spend some time in the queue as they may be popular among infertile couples with low income. You may also contact the clinic’s custom manager and tell about the things you didn’t like about them. They may help you in some way.

Hi, ladies. Thanks for your messages! They’ve become a real help and support for me. Yes, Biotexcom is a cheap clinic. It’s not the cheapest. I would say that it’s a clinic with rather affordable prices. I also found quite a lot of favorable feedbacks about it on various fertility sites. I’ve read quite a lot of posts where former patients praise the clinic’s fertility specialists. They write that they’re real pros. It was the main reason why we decided to contact it…

Hi, MissKey! The cheapest clinic doesn’t often mean the most effective one. I used to deal with one Russian clinic. Their prices seemed to be very reasonable at first. However, they started to ask us to do various medical tests and scans. They were rather expensive ones. The final sum turned to be twice bigger than we expected, so I recommend not to trust cheap clinics very much. Or at least, check everything twice before signing up anything!

Hi, ElizabethZ! Thanks for your message. I also know quite a lot of stories about the clinics that charge additional fees from its patients. I don’t think that Biotexcom will do this. At least, I hope they won’t do this. Our program manager told us that they charge only a fixed sum of their patients. Depending on the package of the services, the sum may be divided into several installments. The payments may be done either via a bank transfer or in cash.

I beg your pardon, MissKey, but I don’t think ED is the right thing to do. The baby won’t be genetically yours. Yes, it will be your husband’s, but his biological mum will be another woman. I think it’s better to adopt and make one more little angel left without parents’ love happier. Don’t you think so?
P.S. I’m just curious to know how they’re going to find a donor for you. Each person is unique, and even twins have slight differences between each other.

MissKey - it's great you have finally made yr decision and I wish y a positive outcome. Today I have come across reviews on Isida and Biotexcom

ElizabethZ - I'm by no means an expert on this stuff, but if you want to find out more about egg donation procedure, you might want to look at the ed guide on eggdonationfriends webpage.

Hi, girls! Thanks for your messages! Lenylen, thanks for the links! I consider them to be really helpful. ElizabethZ, I quite understand what you mean by posting that message. Yes, the baby won’t be mine. But he’ll be my husband’s. I love my husband so much, and I see how he wants to have his own child… Yes, it’s hard to find two similar people. But it’s not impossible! Before visiting clinic for the first time, we’ve sent them a short description of the woman whom we consider to be an excellent donor for us. The clinic’s representatives told us that they’ll use a special software to find an appropriate donor for us from their database. If we sign up a contract with them, we’ll see the donor’s photo. I think it’s really handy. When we visited the clinic, we saw quite a lot of Chinese couples there. Some of them came for ED there. I think it means that the clinic really has a vast donors database. What do you think about it?

It’s nice that the clinic has such a big donors database. Seeing a donor’s photo is also rather handy. I think it will be much easier to choose a donor in such way. But I still can’t understand how the procedure will be done? Will it be frozen or fresh eggs? Which one will you use in your program?
P.S.
As far as I know, fresh eggs are more effective than frozen ones.

The fertility specialist will study my cycle and determine the date of our next visit. As far as I know, I’ll have to take birth control pills to synchronize my periods with the donor’s ones. During our second visit to Kiev, my hubby’s sperm will be picked up and used to fertilize the donors’ eggs. Then the embryos will be transferred into my uterus. I’ll have to take special medicines to support my possible pregnancy. In two weeks, the first pregnancy test will be done. If its result is ok, I’ll take the medicines up to the 12th week of pregnancy.
