Pregnancy after 2 Miscarriages

Hello ladies,

It took me 6 years to finally get pregnant again in March of 2016 and I had a miscarriage at around 5 weeks when we only saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac. Then I got pregnant again in July but it must have been a chemical pregnancy because I started my period before week 5. Now I am pregnant again. I was able to get a specialist to prescribe progesterone suppositories to me but he says he does not do the OBGYN visits. So I am seeing my OBGYN tomorrow for my first 6 week appointment even though I am pretty sure I ovulated late so I am probably 5 weeks and 4 days tomorrow. My question is, with my history what type of follow up can I expect? Should I settle for the normal monthly visits? Or should I request that they monitor me more often and for what. Since last Monday I have had my hcg drawn and 48 hours and it is doubling. I just want to get opinions so I know what to request tomorrow, I have a feeling he will say just come back in a month but should I be wanting more precaution to be taken with me? TIA

I too have had 2 losses and have just had a couple of faint positive tests at 9/10dpo so am in similar situation.
My Dr had said that if I manage to conceive again that I should begin 100mg aspirin once daily straight away and book an ultrasound for 7wk as that is when they can check correct location and heartbeat. Early bloods to check hcg levels optional, my choice if I'm worried but it doesn't really change the outcome..
Hope this is some help.
Fingers crossed for us both.

I am sorry for yr loss and wish y a positive ttcing. Unfortunately there are various reasons why reccurents mcs might happen. It might be poor sperm quality, genetics or chromosomal issues. During the first trimester, the most common cause of miscarriage is chromosomal abnormality that can be detected by PGS NGS. I think it's time to see yr doc and identify if there is any underlying medical condition that's causing pregnancy losses.

Hello,

I had a miscarriage in Feb. I went to the Dr. at what I thought was 11 wks, only to learn the baby had stopped growing at 7wks 3 days and there was no heartbeat. I got pregnant again this September, and I finally worked up the courage to go the Dr. on Nov 18th, and I was TERRIFIED. I was 11wks exactly, and so scared. I started crying when we walked into the ultrasound room, and was shaking like a leaf when I laid on the table. I couldn't even look at the screen until she said ' I think I see a baby' , and then of course I said ' is it measuring right?' and she was like 'well we'll see in a second hold on, I have to zoom in' and there was baby, kicking and moving with a heart rate of 168bpm . I have had ZERO symptoms, and that didn't help my anxiety, but the ultrasound lady said, that it can be normal. So long story short, try to keep your head up, because it can work out better than expected.
