While- I have the C677T mutation. I was found negative for A1298C (where do they come up with these names?!)

The report I have does not say whether Im homozygous or heterozygous. I may need more testing.

Going to follow up with my OB today and will see what she has to say about all of this.

Hey girls... My surgery is in a week. Just got back from RE and we talked a bit about it. I am ready !!!!!

That's exciting, Basia. It always feels good to get things done to move on. I got my ok to start trying again as soon as I start a new cycle. Now I'm just waiting for that to happen. I feel like it may be by Christmas, but we'll see.

My ob didn't give any new input to the mutation gene. She just gave me a few prenatal vitamins that are supposed to help with the gene. Prenante Enhance and vita pearl. The prenate enhance has Quatrefolic that is supposed to help.

I'm going to do a little more research about the drugs and send a message to my acupuncturist to get her thoughts.

While - are you seeing a specialist for this? My mom wants me to see an endocrinologist.

Hi girls.. I have been gone a couple of months.. Did IVF in September and the cycle failed.. Had 3 snowbabies. since then I have not been online.. not been checking every little thing....researching... We didn't talk to anyone about the FET.. just transferred 2 of the 3 frozen embies on December 2nd. 4 days later I got my positive test! It does work.. it can happen! I'm scared for another loss.. scared something might go wrong, but for now god has answered my prayers! it does work.. i have talked to most of you over the past 6 months.. will continue my prayers and hope you all will get your bfps! Thanks to those of you that were there for more through all of this..

Tubal - Congrats!!!! I'm so happy for you! Hope those babies stick (I'm sure they will)!

Basia - glad you talked to your doc about the surgery. Hope all goes well, I'll be sending good thoughts your way.

While - welcome! So sorry for your losses, and sorry you have to join this board, but welcome! I'm not familiar with that gene mutation, but if you have any questions about IVF let me know (doesn't sound like you are there though).

Red - sorry about the gene mutation, but at least it's something that you can work with.

Ma_espe - how are you doing?

AFM - the clinic called yesterday to say that the insurance reversed their denial so I can call my nurse and get the next cycle started! Then got home and had a letter from the insurance company confirming. We will be gone the week of Christmas so probably won't start until after we get back, but glad we didn't have to file a formal appeal!

Thorn - that is good news :) YEY !!! Insurances can be such a pain but on the other hand can be very helpful :)

AFM, despite my best efforts, our timing was off this month. So I'm just sitting here at 4dpo patiently (well, not very patiently) waiting until the next showdown.

Hi all - I just posted my question on a separate page, but wondering if this group would have insight.

This is my first month off after 4 failed medicated IUIs. My IVF is scheduled for Jan. Having my "shot" class and appointment with IVF nurse next week. But... now I'm having a delayed period? My DH and I BDd on cycle day 8 (only once this cycle) and I had a Saline SIS (mock IVF transfer) near that time (I think it was the day after). I had brown spotting Days 17 & 18. Then nothing. I spot like clockwork before my period (used to be 26 or 27 days but medicated was 30 or 31 days - but ALWAYS 4-5 days of spotting prior to period). Now, no spotting, no period? I'm on Day 31.

Is it that fertility meds just take time to work out of your system and is causing a delayed period, but the no spotting is crazy, that never happens!

Thank you all for the congrats! not out of the woods yet, first blood draw is tomorrow.. will see what beta is... I think they will pull a second on Friday.. from there I think first US will be in a couple weeks!
Thorn, awesome for the insurance.. for both IVF and FET we paid about 13k and I would have loved insurance at SOME point! no one covers it here though! I really just wanted to thank you all.. without your support and friendships I don't think I would have ever made it this far.....You girls are pretty awesome! I'd stick around, but it's hard to hear about other people's success.. so i'll just do like I used to and read and pray for you guys from behind the curtains! wish you all the best... and some BFPS! ;)
