Another month gone by already? We won't be doing IVF this month. Finally got the blood results back from my DH to prove he has no nicotine in his system, but now I need to talk to the clinical and figure out whether I need to file an appeal or whether they can just ask for another consideration. That will probably take a few weeks plus I will be traveling over the holidays. Hopefully we can get started again in January.

How's everyone else doing?

Basisa, Thanks for starting this month! I completely forgot about it!

Browni, from your November post, anyone who is pregnant and boasts is annoying. I have a friend who also tried for several years to get pregnant tell me that when she came across someone who was annoying and pregnant she pretended that if they had an easy pregnancy their child would be rotten and it was pay back for being ugly to others. Some people are just dumb and don't realize how insensitive they're being.

I'm so ready for 2015!! Odd numbered years are my best!

Hopefully we will see some BFPs soon :) just for Christmas. I get supper annoyed when I am on different forum and somebody just poops in to announce that they just got BFPs (and never posted before). This forum is much better. All of the girls have been trying for a longer time since we are all doing IUIs or IVFs (or taking a break from it) so there is more understanding.

Yeah people who pop in on boards they were never a part of after one month of trying to say they are pregnant are irritating. My coworker is FINALLY on maternity leave. She is having her c-section today. I know I am especially sensitive to boasting pregnant women - but she has been especially irritating. I think what was so irritating is that she wanted us to have nothing to do with her personal life and then she gets pregnant and we are all supposed to cater to her and talk only about her pregnancy. Every conversation centered around her pregnancy. Conversations that had nothing to do with her turned into her pregnancy. She doesn't know about my issues so I can't be mad at her for that, but my other coworker is also struggling with the fact that she will likely never have children and that's all she ever wanted. The pregnant coworker absolutely knows about that situation and still flaunted her pregnancy in front of us. I get that she's excited but it's just so insensitive. So now she is gone and I feel like a weight has been lifted. Ok, end rant.

Basia - when is your procedure?

I hope there are some more BFPs and for the rest of us who will be trying in 2015 - I hope 2015 is our year :)

thorntoj86 - December 15th :) so less then a week and half away
I have my appointment with RE this Monday to go over everything and then a week after that is the operation :)
I was a bit dumb yesterday and I went on youtube and watched a video of endometriosi removal via laparoscopy - do not ever watch it .... so nasty! But I am a control freak and I want to know what will be done in case they do find something.

Hi girls, sorry I have been gone for so long... I have had a thousand things to do. But that"s good cause then I don't think of the 2WW>
Basia hope the procedure goes good.
With me I find more annoying idiots that should of never had kids and have them. I joke with my husband that you have to be stuoid in order to get pregnant. Bc there are people that can"t afford them or want them and they pop them no problem. And the people that really want to have a baby and can actually afford it can't. I have a couple of close tenn moms as an example....

I am 5DPIUI and no symptoms so far... hope this is the month.

So I am 16 DPO and no AF yet. Hm... I tested on 14 DPO and it was BFN and I am sure the AF is just delayed bc of the progesterone cream (I stopped it on 13 DPO). Sooo AF better hurry up. THe nurse told me that I can't have AF during the laparoscopy/hysteroscopy (I hope she was laying and Dr. will say otherwise just in case AF gets delayed by few more days) :((((((

Hi, ladies! Basia gave me the link to this board after I was asking some fertility treatment questions on the main board. I'm hoping you guys might be able to have a little insight.

Quick back story: DH and I started TTC in the fall of 2012. We got pregnant in February of 2013 and from then until February 2014 we had three pregnancies, and three losses. After the third loss we did testing on me, from chromosome to blood clotting to thyroid, etc. (20 vials of blood!). Turns out I am positive for MTHFR (heterozygous for C677T mutation. DH has a normal sperm count.

So, we found this out in July of 2014 and were cleared to try again. We have been trying since then, and are supposed to go back to our RE after six months if we aren't pregnant yet. I am currently in the TWW for month five, so we will go back to RE in January unless we are pregnant.

So, my question is, as far as fertility treatment, what do you think would be my best bet? It appears I ovulate regularly (usually), so IDK if Clomid would be a good choice or not. I also wondered about an IUI without meds? Anyone have any opinions? I also wonder if I should just give it more time since before we didn't have problems with the getting pregnant part, just the staying pregnant part. And finances are an issue, too.

It's frustrating, I know you know - we have been trying for over two years, and have three losses to show for it. I love our angel babies, but would love one here to hold.

Sorry for the super long post. I am looking forward to your thoughts.

~K

Hi, While!

It's funny you post this because I just got diagnosed with MTHFR this week! Was going to post about it to let all the girls know. I had my first pregnancy (and loss) last month.

My acupuncturist suggested the test and then after we got the results she gave me a complex b vitamin to take that my body won't have too much trouble to digest. She said I'd have to take it my entire life. Eek!

With your symptoms, I don't think you need Clomid because clearly you're able to get pregnant. It's the development you're having trouble with.

My b vitamin is Xymogen B Active. It even states on the bottle that it's more soluble over 5-MTHF. I was also told there is more info at www.mthfr.net and I may visit another doc that specifically looks at this mutation. I'm still learning all of this info and my mom is trying to get me to go to an endocrinologist.

If I don't have a successful 12 weeks by the summer, I'm getting more advice.

@red - MTHFR seems to be pretty common! Do you know what your specific mutation is? I'm guessing it's either C677T or the one that starts with A. And do you know if you are heterozygous or homozygous? I'm hetero for C677T.

I take a prenatal with 800 mcg of folic and then I take between 3000 or more mcg of metafolin. I'm supposed to take 4 MG total. I also take a baby aspirin every day - did your person suggest that for you as a blood thinner? I think that is pretty important as MTHFR can cause blood clots.
