Did I miscarry at 4 weeks or was I not pregnant?

Hello. On Saturday I took a pregnancy test and it was positive, line was very faint but it was there, next day I took 2 tests and it was much darker positive, day after i took two move and lines were much lighter. since Saturday I have been having cramps. On Sunday I started spotting light red whitish discharge. This morning I woke up in so much stomach pain. When I got up I started bleeding. DO you think those 5 positive pregnancy tests were really positive? DO you think I just had a miscarriage?

It sounds like maybe it was a chemical pregnancy. (Which yes, is a miscarriage) :/ Did you test again and get a negative?
I'm sorry you're going through this, especially right after getting so excited about a positive.

It was a chemical pregnancy. I had the exact same thing about 8 months ago. Although I miscarried at 5 weeks but started spotting few days before that and my HCG levels were very low and even started dropping. My obgyn said these early miscarriages usually happen due to chromosomal abnormalities. Nothing you can do about it. But it does not affect your future pregnancies. I'm pregnant now and it's fine! My obgyn suggested to skip one cycle and try again in 2 months. Good luck!

Chemical Pregnancy for sure. Happened to me too. Sucks!

It sounds like it was a chemical pregnancy to me. Such a horrible term to use. I hate those words. I had one in October. I was 4 weeks, 2 days when I miscarried. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe lower back and hip pain. Went to the bathroom and was lightly spotting. A few hours later, I was bleeding like a regular period, and bled worse as the day went on. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know what it is like to just find out that you are pregnant and then be devastated.
My resolution when we began to try again is that I WILL NOT take a pregnancy test before my missed period again. It was too devastating for me. It has been hard to wait until my period may/may not show up (still have 4 days until my expected period) but I can't do it to myself again. I feel the need to get past the 4 week point before I even find out. That's just me though, good luck with everything! I wish you all the best. Message me if you need someone who understands. :-)
