Bleeding gums for one day only?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and I'm currently on month 4 of TTC #1. I've been off of BCP though for 7 months. I used OPKs from May to July but decided not to use them this month.

I'm currently in my TWW and yesterday morning I had bleeding gums when brushing my teeth. When I spit the toothpaste out, it looked like someone had punched me in the mouth. I have never had bleeding gums, and nothing in my oral hygiene routine has changed.

I have read this can be a pregnancy symptom but it seems that anyone who has had it had it for long periods of time. Yesterday morning was the only time I experienced it. It didn't happen when I brushed before bed or this morning...so I'm feeling a bit discouraged that perhaps it was just a fluke.

Has anyone ever had bleeding gums as an early pregnancy symptom, but only had it one time? Any information is greatly appreciated!
