Spotting and AF charting

I am having some difficulty charting my AF. Do you count spotting as your first day of AF? What constitutes spotting from a light period? The reason I ask is because it makes a difference on your fertile window days. If I put I started AF on my "spotting days" it changes my fertile window. If I put spotting for a few days before my AF it changes the fertile window as well. It's at least a few days difference which is extremely important when you are trying to conceive. Any thoughts ? Thanks!

Hi,
Your first day is counted when you have full flow. If it's spotting when you go for a pee you won't get a 'flow' of blood, it tends to be intermittent and light enough that it only shows when you wipe or light enough that a liner could handle it.
If you are still in doubt then cover both the fertile windows, hope I've helped a little.

Thank you for your reply. I did just that. I have two apps going. One scheduled for one spotting started and other counted as AF. My poor DH. Lol
