Temp rise 3 days after positive OPK?

I'm using OPKs and charting my temp. I got my first positive OPK on CD 15, positive again on CD 16, but no significant rise until CD 19 - which makes it look like CD 18 was when I ovulated. But, I thought ovulation occurs within 48 hours of the positive OPK? Has anyone had ovulation not happen until the 3rd day after? Or maybe I did O on CD 17, but had a slow rise?

Both scenarios could have happened. 48 hours after a positive OPK is the "norm" however it can happen anywhere between 12 and 72 hours. For me personally, I always get 2-3 positive OPKs and my temp shift is 2 days after my 2nd + OPK. O can also happen +/- a day from the temp shift (so I have been told) which would be the slow rise... Whenever I am unsure I always follow my temp shift instead of an OPK. Good Luck!
