luteal phase how do you calculate it.

Ok I'm literally on a 27 day cycle meaning every 28th day I get af, I must be doing something wrong because according to these online calculators I really feel like I should have conceived already. Trying for baby number 4 so it's not like I have had a hard time getting pregnant but trying to plan a baby just isn't going well I've been trying to conceive for a year now with no luck. I would really like to get my last baby on board so as my oldest is 20 and youngest is 10, does anybody know how your luteal phase works

Hi vontrell- do u know which cycle day you are ovulating on?thats the only way to find out how long ur luteal phase is.unlike the follicular phase the luteal phase shud always remain the same(give or take a day or so.) anything from 12 to 16 days is considered normal for this part of your cycle however mine has always been 11/12 days and I've had 5 babies.i guess it's fine for it to be shorter as long as ur body has time to get a good level of progesterone in time for any possible conception to progress.do u get progesterone related symptoms to suggest this each cycle?your doctor cud arrange to test this for you too?
