When should I take the test

I have quite irregular cycles but do not have PCOS or any hormonal issue... Just have strange cycles :/... They range from 23-42 days so I have no idea when to test... I've only have one cycle get to 42 days which was last month. I'm currently on CD27 as of today and am stumped... Any insight would be appreciated

My cycle is not very regular, but I started to record and last one was 39 days. Take your longest cycle, 42 days, and subtract 14 days, usually you would ovulate 14 days before your next period. For you it would be day 28, try to have sex on that day, and you can start testing on day 38, but on day 42 test for sure. If it takes 6-10 days to implant, test again on day 44 to be more sure. You can test earlier if you find it fun, but don't worry if it comes negative, just retest later.
