40 and NOT trying...but maybe we did?

Hi ladies. I am 40 and have been with my husband for 9 years. We have never conceived and have relied on many kinds of birth control but for the past 5 years we have not used any. My husband is 44.

We have never wanted kids and have always been relieved that we haven't had any for many reasons. Well, we had our first oops! This week, my husband says it was the weirdest orgasm he's ever had. So I knew to be prepared and watch for early signs. It just so happens that that day was my first day of ovulation, so pretty good chance. OMG!

Day 4 past ovulation and day 4 since the oops!. Symptoms have been headaches, pinching on the right side, mild sore throat, full stomach/bloating, some gassy moments a few waves of dizzy/nausea. Feels like pms or like I do during my period, but it is way too early.

I have been pregnant before about 15 years ago and so I am trying to remember my first signs on that one. But yeah, I am not feeling "right". I announced the news to him yesterday.

We have many concerns, plan to go see the Dr. This week because of my age and also I am overweight so I feel like time is of the essence for healthy pregnancy if we are, even though it is still to early to test. I am putting in God's hands and trying not to worry too much, just trying to be proactive and healthy. I have never had motherly desires, I have always been independent and focused on my education and career, so if we are, this is going to be crazy!
