Current 11dpo looking for fellow first timers for support

Hi all, we have been TTC our first for 6 months now and I have been on these boards reading almost every single day, this process has now gotten so obsessive to me my DH is tired of me over analyzing everything only to be let down with a BFN every single month.

I'm 11dpo now, AF is due on Saturday (5/14) and I have taken probably 6 internet cheapies since 9dpo and I keep getting BFN. Every month I feel like I get the symptoms, then just chalk them up to AF time. This month has been a bit different:

0-7dpo: Not much change, I just noticed I was VERY gassy (like I am during AF) and bloated
8dpo: breasts got very tender and I was woken up to cramps during the night.
9dpo: breasts still tender, starting to get noticeable veins, mild cramps on and off again waking me up in the night. BFN (tested today because of Mother's Day, thought it would be a sign and a welcome surprise)
10dpo: Still bloated/gassy, breast tenderness goes down, veins disappearing, thick CM appears BFN
11dpo: Today - breasts only sore to the touch. Still bloated and gassy. No hints of anything else.

I am one who has VERY painful cramps at AF time and never thought I really cramped beforehand, the last few months I've gotten these mild cramps a couple of days early which then led to AF, but this time they were a full 7 days before AF which has never happened and I feel this is making me obsess even more.

I hope you ladies accept me into the community! I just know and hope having some support will help ease my mind and if another BFN pops up I know I will need the help to get through it and start from scratch again :(

Oh thank you so much for that! I will have missed this morning, but I will go get a thermometer and at least try to use this month as practice for figuring that out.

So before you get out of bed, is that important? Still laying down and everything? I'll do whatever I just want to make sure I do it right!

Maybe you got lucky and you get a slightly pre-vacation baby, I hope thats the case!

Hi,

This month I didn't do anything apart from track my CM. I just thought I would relax and enjoy one month and it worked

We had been trying for 4 months.

I did one pregnancy test at 17DPO and I thought I was out until I was almost 2 weeks late for AF then tried again and

Hi babybump89 -
It's important to get it before getting out of bed, laying down still is the best. Getting up changes your blood pressure and increases your metabolism pretty quickly, so it will change your temperature. It's more consistent if you take it as soon as your alarm goes off/wake up.

It's a great idea to practice for a month - it takes time to get a hang of it!

I am having a bunch of pinching and cramping tonight, not at all like AF cramps- maybe implantation cramps? I hope so!!!

Oh pinching is good! I've been thinking about you wondering if you had anymore symptoms, I hope at least one of us gets that BFP this month!

Did you decide to test this morning? I wouldn't be able to help it if I had more symptoms add on!

Thanks for checking in on me babybump89! I really appreciate it!

I didn't test this morning - it's still super early and if it was actually implantation cramps than there wouldn't be enough Hcg in my system yet to see on a test - I am trying to stay strong and not test until Wed!

Today I am feeling pretty normal - no more cramps, more of a full, kinda bloated feeling but not in a water retention way, only feeling it in my lower abdomen (I sometimes water retain with PMS and even my hands will get a little puff, but it's not like that at all).

Any thoughts Sezzyeb? Do my symptoms sound promising?

It's super nice here this morning, sunny at 21 C (70 F) and we just had rain lastnight and everything smells so fresh, so I am heading out for a good long walk (since I am not running after O, I compensate with longer walks in the 4-6 mile range).

I'll keep you posted if I get any new symptoms!

Maybe Friday the 13th will bring some good luck your way instead of bad!

I probably should up my milage, maybe thats one of the problems is not enough low intensity exercise, that will be easier to do over summer though.

I ended up making an appointment during my fertile week for a fertility evaluation, just so we know for sure so hopefully that brings some good news!

That all sounds promising, I really hope thats what it is and not just your body playing tricks on you! So funny how normal symptoms become so noticeable when TTC

Sezzyeb I'm interested in how you tracked your CM? I've seen that too, but to me maybe Im just really bad at seeing a difference in it every day, what were you looking for?

Ok - hubby has been a great distraction this weekend, but I am so losing it, there are times that I think that it's a total possibility and other times that I thnk I'm totally out. Gahhh! I hate the wait! 12 DPO and 3 days to go!

Only symptoms I am having at this point are some random cramps and fatigue - having an afternoon nap most days! lol

You are WAY more patient than me - I feel like I've been waiting forever with you! I hope the low amount of symptoms is just a sign that you are just one of the lucky ones and not being tricked by AF. Are you normally on time every month?

Go out and buy some cheapies, give in to the urge! lol

This is hilarious - I had a dream lastnight that I got a positive test so I caved and tested this morning! I think it's a BFN - if I squint and it's in the right light I think I might see a line - lol (at least that is what I am telling myself so I have some hope that it actually worked this cycle)!

I was on another forum here a while ago and one the ladies posted this site - http://whenmybaby.com/implantation-doubling-calculator.php

If you know when you ovulated and suspect when you implanted (I had some pinchy cramps at 9 dpo), it predicts your HcG levels. I just used a dollar store cheapie this morning and it has a sensitivity of 25 mIU/ml. According to the chart I won't hit those levels until Wed (when AF is due).

I have had a couple of symptoms lastnight and this morning - I had major hot flashes last night, like causing sweat to drip down my neck even though I was in a tank top, had the window open and it was only 4 degrees out (40 deg F). I get these sometimes around ovulation (I certainly did this month) - so may related to an incease in progesterone? I of course googled hot flashes and 12 dPO and PREGNANT just started popping up everywhere - so that hasn't helped my patience!

I am also having some weird cramps today too- not AF cramps but almost a sore feeling. I have only had something like these once before and it ended in late AF - so who knows (never tested that cycle, so I have no idea if it was a possible chemical pregnancy). Other than that - just fatigue! I took a nap yesterday afternoon, then fell asleep on the couch by 10:30 and still slept in until 8 am! I am usually ok with 7 hours sleep! lol

I am pretty consistent these days (within the past 6 months) and I will usually start somewhere between the evening of cd27 and overnight on cd 28 - I am CD 26 right now so I should know by Wednesday (I used my last cheapie this morning, so I think I am going to get more today and test again Wed morning).

ok -must go stare at that test again and see if I can trick my eyes into seeing a line!

I'll keep you posted!

Oh that all sounds promising!!

Did you take a picture of the test by chance!? I'd love to help you see that line! I know I was shining a flashlight all on mine looking for a hint of SOMETHING so if there's something there maybe a new set of eyes would be good :)
