Fertility Monitors

Hi everyone I am 31 and DH is 35, we have ttc for 18 months. In June, I purchased a Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor. Since I have been using the monitor, it has only shown that I have ovulated 1 time. I did use an OPK in June before and I ovulated then. July I had a 59 day cycle and did not ovulate. August I had AF and it was terrible. Heavy bleeding and strong cramps. A day after my AF I had to have my appendix removed. The doctor suggested that we give it a month or so before we started ttc again. Then in October we started again and I used the monitor which indicated I ovulated on day 15. My story goes on and on. I really don't want to bore you all with the details.
My question is has anyone used one of these things and actually gotten pregnant?
