TTC months, Needs advice

Hello. I have been ttc for 8 months, which to a lot of people is not long. I figured i would be pregnant by now being a pretty healthy 22 year old woman. I was on and off bc since i was about 16 and i stopped taking it completely when my fiance said he was ready to try 8 months ago. I have not had a regular period since i stopped the bc. With no regular period comes no ovulation. I went to the Dr and was told to take a pill for 10 days to jump start a "false" period. Well that worked, sorta. I did have the false period for about 5 days and that was two months ago. I still have not had a regular period. I do not know what to do at this point. Im am so afraid that i can not conceive. Any suggestions on what to do? Im about ready to give up.Thanks in advance

I have been trying to conceive for 4 months and believed that I had a long cycle each month 35-45 days. I would baby dance around the day that I believed was my ovulation window and then go through the 2 week wait and spend money on countless pregnancy tests and then finally get a break through bleed which I thought was my period. After the 4th month I went to the doctor who did day 21 blood tests to test my hormones and this came back that I was anovulatory. This means that my body was not producing enough estrogen to release a mature egg from my ovaries and hence no ovulation. The cause for me is that I had been on the microgynon 30 contraception pill for 10 years. I am now waiting to here from the specialist whether they will start me on a course of clomid to get my body regulating again.
I posted my story on here too and a load of ladies came back and advised me to use Soy Isoflavones as this helps with ovulation and they have got pregnant by using it. I am going to start using that on my next cycle.
I hope this helps and best of good x

Hi I am sorry to know your tts is not positive. I would recommend visiting fertility specialist. Good luck with your ttc xx

Hi ladies,
Soy isoflavones can indeed increase your oestrogen levels but with a long or unregulated period ovulation can be few and far between. Have a look into vitex, it can jump start your period, keep your cycles regular and increase oestrogen levels in the first half of your cycle and progesterone in the second. It is not a miracle drug but definitely well worth a try. It can take a month or two to get full benefit from it so keep at it. Don't worry if your first cycle is a bit short (mine was only 24 days), it is just your hormones adjusting.
Always research when to take it with your particular problem as it can be taken either half of your cycle, all cycle long or skip it only while on your period.
Wishing you so much luck, it's frustrating enough ttc when you do ovulate regular so I can't imagine what you must be going through.
Sending hugs
