_Issues_

Hi ladies,

I had previously been hanging around in the other forums, but decided I should move myself over to the LTTTC forum, since it seems like I'm going to be in this for the long haul.

My husband and I are both 35. We've been trying to conceive for a while now-- 3 years off contraception, and actively trying for more than a year now.

I've been to see a fertility specialist, and I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that he found _ISSUES_ -- a transvaginal ultrasound showed cysts in both of my ovaries and endometriosis, and an HSG showed more signs of endometriosis and some sizable polyps in my uterus. I had a genetic screen which came back normal, and we're waiting on results of my partner's sperm analysis and some additional bloodwork on me.

I'm on Clomid this cycle. We have another appointment with our doctor in ten days to discuss where we are going from here.

It's all a little overwhelming. I've always had normal pelvic exams and pap smears, so I wasn't expecting them to actually find stuff on the ultrasound and HSG. I'm really hoping that we will still be able to do this.

Although the news may be discouraging at least you know whats going on to address it and better your chances of conceiving. I hope that everything works out for you and your husband and that everything gets resolved so you may soon see your BFP.
