Is AF just early?

I have a very regular, 29 day cycle, with ovulation almost always on day 16. I usually start getting cramps right before AF, on the last day (day 29). However, I started getting cramps on day 26 this cycle (10 dpo). I'm now on day 28 (12 dpo, AF due in 2 days), with super heavy cramps, which I assume is just AF coming, but I do not know why the cramps would have started so early. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I wasn't supposed to start my period till tomorrow (Saturday) but I started cramping yesterday (Thursday) and have had dark brown spotting yesterday and dark brown to rusty red today. Very unusual for me but I did have copper IUD removed in January so it may be my period trying to readjust (this will be my second period since I had IUD removed). I had on Monday and Wednesday. This morning I had a strange test that could just be an evap line but it was REAAALLY making me wonder. I'm going to test again tomorrow morning. Either I'm having late implantation bleeding/cramping or I'm having an usual period that started two days early. We shall see! Hoping for that magical !!

Let me know how it works out for you!

So sorry for the late reply! AF did end up coming the following day :( I'm on the next cycle TWW now. I'm trying SO hard not to read into any symptoms. I've been TTC for 8 months now, and every month I've had the same stupid sore nipples, cramps, fatigue, etc right up until AF arrives. I'm going to do my best to just wait til she is late. Good luck to you!!

Sounds like we're in the same boat! I started my AF as well and now TWW. Haha, I do the exact same thing and go nuts feeling symptoms! I'm around 5dpo. Hard to say because I was using Clearblue digital ovulation and the day I went from two days low, one day high and then a peak (which makes the Clearblue not able to read anything for two days). When I popped the stick back out I saw the dye had run so I'm wondering if I had a false positive peak. I went ahead and dtd with Hubby for three days in a row just in case lol. So I'm crossing fingers. My app tracker said I was supposed to ovulate on the 2nd but the stick said peak on 31st. Who knows, yeesh.

I'm hoping I'm around 5-6 dpo. UGH. Longest two weeks ever!

Yes! I'm in exactly the same boat as you! 5 or 6 dpo today. I used the wondfo opk tests and they always stay positive for about a day and a half, but I think I o'd on April 1st. It's nice to have cycle buddies to commiserate with. The TWW is the worst!!

Hey CharmingCheshire! How's it going? I guess we are both now around 10 or 11 dpo? When are you planning to test? I cannot believe how slow this TWW is going!

Hey! I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply! Work has kept me ridiculously busy. I'm now on cycle day 11 so coming up to ovulation soon. No sticky bean on my 3rd month trying . However, I had a slightly different experience with my period this month so I'm hopeful that that's a good sign that my uterus lining is ready! What about you?

No worries at all! So...things have taken a turn for the worse for us. My blood tests, ultrasound and HSG were all fine, but hubby got the results of the SA back, and the count was virtually zero. It's possible that there is something environmental or lifestyle-wise he could change to boost the count, but nothing obvious, since he's really healthy, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink much, doesn't go in saunas or hot tubs. He is going to go back and test again in two months and see, but if the results come back the same, our only hope is IVF or donor sperm. We're both pretty devastated. But that's life, right?

I have my fingers crossed for your BFP! Hoping this is your month!

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your hubby, I know that must be so very frustrating. I have a friend who went through pretty much that exact same thing. When she stopped thinking/worrying about it, she got pregnant, so don't lose hope!

I need to take a bit of my own advice, I have a feeling I'm thinking too much about getting pregnant that it's stressing me out. I'm just so anxious! I'm ready to be a momma! We haven't been trying for too long, this is the 4th month and I know that since I had an IUD in for almost 6 years that it was going to take a bit of time for my uterine lining to heal but I think I'm mostly frustrated because my Hubby and I have actually been pregnant before (10 years ago) and it happened so easily from one time (and he even put on a condom, I became pregnant from...well for lack of a delicate way to put this, let's just say the stuff that comes from him BEFORE the climax, tmi!). So now that I'm 10 years older and it's taken 4 months and making sure we're dtd at least every other day it's just....UGH. FRUSTRATING.

I hope you get some peace of mind! Try not to stress! Feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to unload to!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I think one of the hardest things about this whole TTC process is not really being able to talk to many people about it.

It must be so frustrating to know that it happened by accident for you guys in the past, and now with timing, effort, planning, etc, it has been 4 months, but trust me: 4 months is nothing! The specialist I saw put it this way: the human reproductive system is extremely inefficient. Even with everything right, there is only a 25% chance of pregnancy in any given month. The great news for you guys is that since you have been pregnant before, I think you can relax a little bit because it sounds like all the pieces are in place for it to happen with time. That said, I know telling yourself to "just relax" is totally useless advice, especially when you want to be pregnant yesterday! I guess the best thing we can do is try and find activities or other things that would help take our minds off of this process. (And if you successfully find any, please let me know! hahah)
