Would be due date approaching

I mc early and it has been difficult for me to get past. I have my good days and my not so good days. Riley's due date is next week and I am not sure how to handle it. Some things I knew because it felt right for me. Like naming the baby. We didn't know the sex so we went with Riley Blake. I couldn't stand saying "it" all the time. For Christmas my husband got me a special ornament because we had talked about how special this holiday season would be. But the due date.... I don't know how to make it "better". I already took the day off of work just in case I was too emotional. Part of me wants to stay in bed all day but the other part of me is saying do something special. How did you handle the would be due date?

On the EDD for our loss I did take the day off. We to named our LO Lauren. On that day I took out the ultrasound pictures and the keepsake box I have. In it are mementos such as a onesie, the pregnancy test and notes and cards of sympathy and the christmas ornament we bought. I spent as much time as I needed touching and reading everything. I cried then some moments I felt blessed knowing that I was lucky to be her mom even if it was for a very short time. Honor your little one and honor your loss. There is no right or wrong. I can tell you that the wound from our loss cut deep. It wasn't until over a year until I could be happy talking about that pregnancy. Happy for the love I had and the joy we shared for too short a time.

I hope this helps.
