Cycles post miscarriage

I am just wondering how your cycles were after miscarriage. I had a miscarriage in September - prior to that my periods were every 26/27 days and I ovulated on the 14th day (give or take a day).

Since September my periods have become very strange - 26-35 days, ovulating between 15-26 days. When I do get my period now its starts off with 3 days of spotting, then I have my period ... and I continue to spot until I ovulate ... so for about two weeks I am spotting ... period ... spotting. This is definitely NOT normal for me.

Wondering how your periods were post miscarriage - it's really hard to plan for a baby when body functioning is out of whack ;(

Thank You in advance for your help!

Wish I could offer more encouragement, but that's just how cycles are post miscarriage. :/ After both of my losses it took a couple of months before my cycles were normal...but even then they are still a little off. Sometimes they never really go back to "normal"...or you'll develop a new normal.

Also...depending on how far along you were and how long it's been since...everything could still be clearing out. After my loss at 13 weeks, the doctors thought everything passed but it hadn't. So I spotted and bled on and off for a few months. Ugh.

I hope it gets sorted out for you soon! Don't lose hope.

I agree with tcinks - after a mc your body generally takes time to recover. I had my fourth miscarriage at the beginning of November and still awaiting AF to show up.

Hope things sort themselves out for you

I think it depends on how far along you were. I had a natural miscarriage in November at 5w5d. Dr told me it could take my cycles a while to get back to normal, but I continued temping and I had a positive opk 15 days after my first day of miscarriage bleeding. So we started to BD, just in case. Two weeks after ovulation, took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I'm currently 6w2d, didn't get a period in between. I'm nervous but this is a new pregnancy and hcg numbers are much higher and doubling properly, so keeping fingers crossed. So the Dr days because i had a very early miscarriage, body went right back to normal, but I continued to take Vitex after the miscarriage to help regulate my cycle and I believe it helped.

I had a d&c at 9 weeks due to a blighted ovum. My period returned about a month later. The first two months after mc my cycles were very short... Only 22 days. Befor mc I had a 26 day cycle. They've since seemed to lengthen to a 28 day cycle & I believe that is my new normal so to speak.

Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to share your own experience with this. Today I am on cycle day 27 and slight spotting. I didn't ovulate (yet) - perhaps I will just go straight into AF. There is absolutely no way that I can even attempt to TTC with these cycles, and now with not ovulating? Im stumped ... ugh!
