Too thick uterine lining on cd 3 anyone else have this prob

At my cd 3 ultrasound I was told my uterine lining was too thick. It measures 15 mm. Two days later I went in to be checked if my lining have gotten thinner. On that day it measured about 12mm but was told it was still too thick and should be almost non existent by that day because I was at the end of my period. Has anyone else experienced this? Or has anyone been able to conceive with this problem. So far I have 1 failed IUI and currently in my ttw for second IUI.
