How do you stop knicker checking?!?

Ok, so i've just had a positive test (then 3 more, incl. digi as couldn't believe it). However, i am now terrified as we've had 4 miscarriages previously (no live births) and now I am stressing over every twinge and checking every time I go to the loo.

I'd only be about 4.5 weeks, so am not telling anoyne at all yet, other than the specialist whose care I'm under (but can never get hold of...). I've come on here searching for support and angone who has been in a similar position (and because I think i'll burst if I don't tell someone!).

The last miscarriage in particular was extremely tough for our marriage as hubby got attached very quickly (we took some time out for us before trying again), so i'm extremely nervous about even telling him! Wondering whether it would be better to wait and not get his hopes up just yet. The only difference this cycle is that i'm taking baby aspirin, so am praying that makes a difference.

I understand completely. I just lost a baby in July. And am about a week late. And terrified either way. Will be scared for baby if one is there. And sad if one is not. I will pray for both of us. Good luck.

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear about your recent loss - hope you get the result you want for your current position. It's horrid not having that sense of naivity that all will be ok. I went to the Dr today to ask about getting progesterone levels checked and she was utterly useless - she apparently didn't know that could be measured or what range it should be during pregnancy! I mean, what on earth?! Did not exactly set my mind at rest. Specialist can't see me for a few more weeks, so fingers crossed all is fine until then (though am waiting on a few blood tests I insisted on having).
