Hey ladies,

Bridget - I'm sorry to hear it's going to delay you until January but I definitely think the dye test was worth it. I hope to god I never have to go through it again because I was one of those rare individuals that found it very painful. I recommend taking 800 mg of advil about an hour before the dye test.

LS - I'm glad to hear that you and the little lady are doing well. I can't believe you're 33 weeks already. hopefully she ends up being an average of the two around 7lbs.

Shan - I had trouble looking at it too but I've been told that boys are easier to confirm than girls are.

I<3Kids - Yay for the TWW. I hope it goes quickly for you!

2moms2be - I'm sorry that you got a BFN this month. I was really hopinbg you'd kick off another round of BFPs. My appointment went well and I will get to trigger this evening and do and IUI on Saturday morning.

Kethryes - I guess I'll be doing something similar for my trigger shot. they gave me a powder and water to mix up the shot.

AFM - So my appointment went well. My lining was fairly normal though they didn't give me measurements. I had 4 follicles 20, 18, 15, 14. They told me my chance for multiples was fairly low since I don't have a history of them. I don't have a history of getting pregnant either but hey at least they agreed to trigger me. I started to have a mini panic attack about giving myself an injection, especially since I have to prepare the needle as well. I called DH and he said he could do it if need be, which I think might keep me from freaking out at least. I was also thinking of asking a friend, who is a nurse, if she could do the injection portion. I have no idea why but getting the instructions for how to prepare the needle freaked me out more than the many needles I've have to get in recent years. on the plus side I'm super hopeful this time. the timing is being controlled, DH could plan out his abstinence and I don't have to worry about taking more time off work. FX in two weeks I'll have my BFP.

Margie_M: Hooray!!! Your follicles sound amazing! And a trigger shot?! I am excited for you!

Margie- great news on the follicles! I was nervous about my first trigger shot too and thought DW was going to need to jump in, but I ended up doing it and it wasn't so bad. I'm not usually afraid of needles, but I was also worried about the prep portion. Mine was really easy though... good luck!

Hi ladies,

We'll I survived the trigger shot. DH did it and we got into a big fight just before because he wanted to do all the prep for it.I hope we did it right. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.

@Margie - fingers crossed for you girl! I didn't do my own shots, either. I had my BFF do it - she's a nurse, so I would go to her house etc and have her do it. (-:

I'm sorry so many ladies haven't had their BFPs yet. Fingers crossed this is the month!!!!!!!!!!

@Badwolf - we did three unsuccessful IUIs, and then I went and had a saline version of the dye HSG done, and we got positive test three weeks later. sometimes they help clean out the tubes!

Good morning ladies,

While - I wish my good friend still lived near me. I totally would have gotten her to do it instead of DH. She's a nurse and so we wouldn't have been dealing with the same uncertainty of the process. As it was I was texting with her during the prep phase. oh well DH did a good job of it.

2moms2be - DH did mine. I just needed to not be able to look at it. the needle itself wasn't that bad.

AFM - I tested with an HPT this morning just to make sure it worked, which it did. I'm so excited for the IUI tomorrow. in some ways I hope the two larger follicles release and I end up with twins. I doubt I will though. Still I'm feeling very good about this cycle. I've already been getting some cramps which is probably a good sign for my O.

Margie - good luck tomorrow :D Fingers crossed this IUI works

Kethryes - how you feeling girl? did you start FSH hormones? or are you still on suppression hormones medications? It appears that you are doing the long version of IVF - that is the one that worked for me so fingers crossed :D

Other girls - lots of baby dust and good luck to you as well. It sucks to see you still here - I wish you all the best and lots of BFPs this month.

Hello everyone, I have been away for a bit, but wanted to update.

I had my appointment with an RE today. It went really well. I didn't see the doctor I thought I was going to see, but this lady was nice and I felt comfortable with her. She asked me lots of questions, since she didn't have any of my records from my clinic. But from what I told her, she said that she suggests doing at least 2 more rounds of IUIs with clomid, then move on to injectables if those don't work. I may also, have to go on thyroid meds. I was told I had hypothyroidism years ago, but my doctors hadn't put me on medication nor have they seemed too concerned about my numbers, since they are within range. But I was told today that the normal range when trying to conceive is different. So once she know what my test result were, I may have to go on meds for that. She said she doesn't believe we should have to do IVF. She also went ahead and did an ultrasound to see what my ovaries were doing. She said my lining looked amazing. I had two good sized follicles one on each side. The left was much bigger than the right, so she said I will ovulate on that side and most likely soon. I also had lots of little ones on both sides, she said that was good. And overall, my ovaries look healthy for my age. She suggested maybe doing a saline ultrasound later, to get a better look at my uterus to make sure there was nothing in there to prevent a pregnancy.

Overall she seemed confident that we should be able to get pregnant doing what we have been doing. I hope she is right.

So DH and I are going to BD over the next few days, then wait until my next period to come. I will most likely be doing another IUI next month.

I want to wish everyone this month. I am silently stalking the forum.

Margie I hope that doing the trigger shot this cycle is what gets you pregnant.

Also, I crochet too!

Hi ladies,

Jeska - I hope you're right and the trigger is all I needed. I'm glad your RE had some options for you. I hope you get lucky this month but at least having a plan helps.that's so cool that you crochet. I can'tan age it for whatever reason.

Basia - thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we caught it this time.

AFM - I'm officially 1 DPIUI. DH's numbers were the highest we've seen so far, which was a nice change from last time. The Dr that did it was the one who gave us our diagnosis back in Feb. He asked to be kept in the loop if we get a BFP. The Dr did ask what our plas were if this cycle didn't work though. We told him that we would come in for a reassessment but we knew our next option would likely be IVF. DH and I are both feeling really good about this cycle though so hopefully we won't have to graduate from IUIs. FX that the next two weeks go by really quickly.

Margie, how the iui went? I hope this is the cycle for a great pregnancy!

Basia, i am on gonal the last 4 days, arvecap lasted yesterday.
I worry because on the sixth day of gonal, which is on wed, i have to go for ultrasound and estradiol test, it is a national holiday and the clinic wont do the tests. They told me to go the next day, but i am not sure if it will be ok and not miss the right moment for the next move. I dont even know how far am i from the next move which is the ovitrelle (hcg injection).
At the moment i feel bloated and no jean fits me.

Jesk, it is so nice you feel nice with the appointment. It is important to feel confident and happy with the doctors and the plan they suggest! Good luck dear, i hope the best luck for you!
