So frustrating! Argh

I'm 41 and I started TTC last December. In March I became pregnant, but unfortunately MC at 8 weeks or so. I remember I got a very strong, early positive on two tests (about 11 or 12 dpo) but then a very weak positive two days later. Less than a week after that I had my first doctor visit brought on by very light bleeding and ultimately lost the pregnancy (it didn't progress beyond 5 weeks, but I naturally miscarried at 8). I feel like I would have had a better time if I hadn't gone to the doctor, honestly. They prolonged everything with progesterone...

We waited until the beginning of this month to try again (I've had regular cycles since May with no problems). My cycle is usually between 29 and 31 days. I think I ovulated around the 11th of this month. Since the 15th I've been feeling very nauseous, exhausted, and slightly tender nipples. Smells bother me sometimes (some food, coffee...) With my son (who's now twelve), I had extreme hyperemesis for five months from about 5 or 6 weeks, but no other symptoms (I did get the smell thing, but after 12 or 15 weeks) ...

I tested (silly me) five times already (POAS addict??!!), the last time on Thursday (which was about 13dpo, unless I ovulated later than I thought) and all have been negatives.

I guess I'm just wondering other's experiences of this whole shebang. I feel pregnant, I could have sworn up and down I'd get a positive - but nothing yet. Too early? Another chemical pregnancy?? Do you think that the first super early strong positives followed by the negative I had last time were an indicator of the failed pregnancy early on? Is it possible that getting a later positive could be better? Did anyone get BFNs followed by a BFP at this point?

I read an article that said some women don't get BFPs until a week or later after expected start of AF... (late ovulation, late implantation...)

Today is day 31 of my cycle. Last month I started on the 26th (allegedly CD 29), with spotting and light AF the day before. Today is the 25th and nothing today - just nausea, bloating, and exhaustion. Uterus feels... off. A bit like AF but... at 2 through 5 dpo (over a week ago) I had mild cramping pain in the left side of my uterus. I've felt similar pain around the time of my AF but not in the last year. I put it down to implantation - but now I wonder if instead of ovulating on the 11th, I ovulated on the 14th or 15th (or later), which could put me as low as 9 or 10 dpo... but that still doesn't explain the nausea I've experienced almost constantly since then.

I guess I just don't know what to think... maybe I'm just clutching at straws and all this other stuff is in my head? ... I suppose waiting for AF to show (or not) is the only thing I can do now... any advice or friendship from anyone in a similar place would be awesome!

I do not know what you are feeling and I am just imagining that it must be very hard. Just keep testing and hope for that BFP. A lot of hugs and sympathy.

Thank you so much for your reply, Lalou3tt3... it means a lot...

So. I'm now on CD 33 - and at least 3 days late.
I also had two more BFNs today .... a Kroger brand and a Dollar store brand (that was also blue ink though?)

I don't know what to think. I'm never late like this. But, maybe I just am this month? When I get paid on Wednesday if AF still hasn't arrived I'll buy a FRER.

I'm so grumpy, sore boobs, feeling alternately sick and hungry... I feel bloated and my abdomen feels... sensitive (pants on it are bugging me a LOT and last time I had that I WAS pregnant...) I'm just... beside myself now. Last pregnancy ended in mc... and now this?

It's been months and af has been here on the dot for every month (usually if I'm later it's a day or two - but I'm on day three right now and no sign - I usually spot/very light for the first day and a half... and so.. nothing...)

I did read some women don't get positives until a week or two after expected af because of late ovulation. Holding onto those words so hard right now. So hard. I feel so alone...

[edit: I just checked on here and if I ovulated as late as the 15th, I should test on the 29th, which is Wednesday - that does give me hope. Because even then, it might not be a BFP until the weekend...]

4 or 5 days late - still no AF. Feeling sick as a dog today (but no actual puking). Keep coming here in the hopes someone will have experienced (or is experiencing) something similar and will share their story.

Boobs sore... nausea... lots of horrible smells, exhausted beyond anything (could fall asleep at my desk today), emotional.

Trying not to hope too much. I'm never late like this... ever. Had another yesterday. Still, it could be way too early (and it wasn't a FRER test either).

Still taking prenatal vitamins, extra folic acid, and fish oil. Trying to eat as healthy as I can (even though food/smells are gross)...

Just wish there were people in my life who understood (DH longs for a positive, best friend is kinda useless with this stuff... no one else around)...

Sending all around!!

Hi, it totally sucks when you are stuck in the last stages of the tww. I wish I had some positive advise for you but we all go through this (not as symptomatic as you, have to admit yours sounds promising) but I can reassure you that your not crazy! We all know our bodies and know if something is different but it's hard when the line does not confirm what we suspect and we get stuck in limbo.
I have also read of women getting late BFP and I hope this is the case for you!
If it's not to be this month it is worth investing in cheap ovulation dip tests and ultra sensitive pregnancy tests over the Internet. It is so much cheaper and you will always know exactly when you ovulate and if you go through this again you have more answers.
Good luck to you, I hope you are now celebrating with loved ones. Either way we are all here for you on whatever journey you are on xx
