Looking for ladies in their 40's TTC

Hello :)
I was wondering if they are any ladies out there in their 40's ttc. Please add me as a friend and we can support each other along the way.
I'm trying for another child but have had a few losses along the way but not ready to give up just yet, not while I know they're still some eggs just waiting to be caught!
and to every single one of you out there!

Thanks, Onemore, Angel, dawnie,
mine is more of a 'stockings guy' I shall put them to good use

I know what you mean, dawniem, there are two pregnancies in my immediate family (one due on my would-be-due date), two close friends just gave births and two pregnant mums in my little one's class!
And now mrsaayon and karamyl too!

It's raining babies, ladies, it's got to rain on all of us soon too!

Dawniem - thanks for sharing that '44 and pregnant naturally' story and giving us all that much more hope!

AF arrived with a vengence last night. Darn her anyway! I'm focusing on all the positive vibes here and trying to not stress because stress is BAD for babies. I'll keep saying that this month is my month until it happens. God willing!

I agree that it's so nice to hear the positivity in this forum. Hoping and praying for everyone! Please keep us updated!

Babybean, that stockings comment made me chuckle . I love it, you go girl!

Dawnien, yes thank YOU for sharing that, how many weeks along is the 44 year old? It is possible because I've been pregnant twice since turing 44 but it's the sticking that's the problem , it's awful but that's for me. I'm still trying though and I do know it can happen and it will happen, we just wait and we pray and hope with all that we have .

It does seem like everywhere I look there's one pregnant lady or the other, our turn will come. I just know it so please keep the positive stories coming and sharing your experiences. I love this forum .

BabyAngelG, it's a shame your AF arrived, witch, but this is a new cycle with new hopes and dreams and I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Enjoy your day ladies!

onemorebaby - she is due in September so quite far along!

I am having coffee with her this morning so, believe me, i am going to (subtly) dig for more info and will report back to you!

The sticking part has also been my issue - I had three CPs ... and used those early internet hpts so could see that I was technically pregnant at 8dpo, but then my period would come as normal.

On the day of one of my bfps I had a blood test and my progesterone was so low my doctor said there was no way that would support a viable pregnancy. I know ladies in the US get their doctors to give them progesterone suppositries (sp?) but here in the UK GPs are very cynical about progesterone supplements and don't prescribe them...

Instead they gave me clomid - to help me ovulate - but I have no trouble ovulating! All clomid did was make me sick and headachey and so I stopped.

Now I am staring at another BFN and feeling quite despondent...

onemorebaby - are you going to be trying again this month or giving yourself some time before get back on the rollercoaster?

xx

Hi Dawniem - sorry about your BFN...that stinks! Please try and keep your chin up and think positive about next month! I'm trying to also!
My OB has me on the progesterone suppositories, but don't know if you are able to get your hands on the cream? Not sure if maybe it's easier for you to obtain it in that form? It's worth a try.
Hope you have a better day and know that we are rooting for you! Happy thoughts! &

Oh wow dawniem, she's so lucky, I'm happy for her and that gives me hope for sure. Did you find out anything else during your coffee time? , we're naughty ladies I think here!

The sticking is a nightmare for me too, easy to get pregnant but hard to keep, I don't know which is worse, I'd rather take ages to fall pregnant I think then let it stick as opposed to what I've been going through, it's hard!
I'm in the UK too and they're a nightmare with progesterone, the Specialist Nurse said there's no evidence it works, she thought she was talking to a teenager so I gave her the facts as I know them, she still said I should wait to speak to the Doctor, what a witch . I got some progesterone cream online and have started using that a few days ago, here's to hoping something works. At this age I'm not afraid to try anything as I feel I don't have anymore to lose that what I've lost already! .

I'm trying again this month that's for sure, no time to waste and no time to wait, every month the eggs go worse lol so time waits for no one! TTC is a rollercoaster so no point in getting off till I reach my goal :D Every month is a new one, every cycle a new one so hang in there and don't give up hope. I take the 5mg folic acid which my GP gave to me after I went and bombarded him, he gave me a 3 month supply. It's used they say for people who've had multiple mc's like we have.
You're not out till you see Af so wait and you never know what tomorrow might bring.

well, weirdly... I got a faint smudge on two internet cheapies today, one with smu and the other at lunchtime.

I am feeling like I've been hit by a truck, so so tired and slightly nauseous and my boobs!! Pain!

so, feeling that this might be a BFP but will wait till tomorrow to see if the line gets darker!

hope this links works?

Oh my dawniem, that looks like a great positive to me, it's definitely pink and clear to see, have you taken another test? Take a FRER or something else to confirm but I feel it's positive!! . A few of you are getting positives and it's great because it gives the rest of us hope. Let us know how it progresses, this is so exciting. I'm going to say because it looks so good!!

How's everyone else doing? Hope you're all keeping your spirits up! And the pregnant ladies I hope you're all taking it easy
