I'm so sorry to hear that!
My mum always says 'ur time come so don't give up and believe it'll happen!
Being positive and stress fee is crucial as I know from my own experience!
The first time I TTC and I got pregnant straight away without knowing I am but stresses put for some issues we have and had miscarriage! As result since Alril I'm still TTC!
But I deceied that from this month I'll try to be positive, think positive, watch comics and son on! Otherwise it's not gona happened!
I understand u Hurt but u have to be positive if u want to TTC again!
Cheer up girl life is beautiful even though we have experience difficult time!
We up set of not, stress or not life is passing by so being positive is vital for overall health

I'm so sorry about what's going on with you SydneyNat, bless you so much . I think not being pregnant this time is much worse for you because your partner is having a baby with someone else. I can imagine it cuts like a knife and is so painful. I wish there was something I could say. If you could try to put your mind to the fact that the baby is there and there's nothing you can do about it then maybe it will help you to move on but of course it's not as simple as that. Your partner sounds like he really loves you and wants to be with you so take one day at a time. Keep trying for your own baby and explore other avenues as you've been talking about. You still have time and you still have hope and life so please don't give up. I feel your pain and I wish you didn't have to feel so much of it. We're here for you and if you want to message me personally I don't mind at all. I hope you'll be ok and I pray for you ok. Please take it easy.

Angel, I have heard that certain medications for depression cause men to lose their libido and inturn of course viagra helps but never heard of the effects on TTC. I hope your husband gets to see the urologist and gets more information, otherwise is there any way you could speak to a doctor? I wish you the best and pray it will be ok. It's so damn frustrating this TTC thing ahhhhhhhhh!!!! .

Newlife yes I think you should invest in the ovulation tests, you can get them off eBay very cheap and that will give you a better idea instead of depending on a calendar which doesn't know your body and is only giving you a little bit of an idea, the body can change and cycles change. . I started taking 5mg folic acid, the doctor gives it only on prescription and it's said to help with recurrent miscarriages which I've had so let's see if it will help me! It can't do any harm anyway.

Eat2nourish I pray too that you get your by the end of the year. You know we do every single thing right and at the end of it nothing, it's a strange thing this TTC ! .

I'm 11dpo and got yesterday and today, boobs gone as soft as pancakes so it's only a matter of time I feel . I'm ok though, next cycle is always a new one. I have prayed that I don't get any more BFP's UNLESS they will stick so I'm hoping God is answering my prayers.

Thank you all for the well wishes in regards to my cold! I'm feeling better now and had a great time on my extended weekend camping trip. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We went to a place called Hocking Hills and took a trail to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls. Absolutely gorgeous! I love the woods and hiking so it was right up my alley. The cell reception wasn't the greatest, but I didn't mind it. Actually didn't miss it too much. LOL Soooo for those inquiring minds that want to know... YES we did the bd in the camper (like teenagers)... amongst disco lights and everything. No, not from us!! The neighbors had this laser light display that lit up the inside of our camper. I had to laugh and strike a Saturday Night Fever pose! LOL We must find humor in every day.... I certainly do! It was a much needed little get away and I can't wait to get back.

Angelgirl - looks like we are close in cycle. I had a peak opk reading 2 days ago. I believe I ovulated yesterday, but will see what my temp does tomorrow morning.

SydneyNat - I am so sorry for your BFN honey! I echo OneMoreBaby's sentiment exactly. She is wonderful as she is wise. Please be sure to try and take care of yourself more than anything right now. You have a lot on your plate and it's important to try to de-stress as much as possible. I realize it is hard right now. You are in my prayers!

Onemore, I do believe it is the depression along with stress. He went to the urologist today and he was very helpful and my husband was totally comfortable talking with him.

Babyangel that's great! I am pretty sure I am about to any day. I've had high reading on my monitor so should have peak soon. I'm having more cm than usual this month so here's to a BFP this cycle!

Hi all,

Thanks for the supportive messages. I've decided I need to talk to somebody about what's going on.

I found out yesterday that the Fertility Clinic I'm using provides one free counselling session to its patients. I called yesterday to make an appointment and I'm just waiting for the counsellor to call me back.

I told DP this morning that I'm really not coping. He doesn't know what to do. Men!

Anyway, I'm going to stop talking about it now because I don't want to bring anyone down.

I'm going to step away from the babymaking for a bit. I'll keep doing my accupuncture and am doing one more round of ovulation tracking (AF dropped in for her visit last night!), but then I'll just let nature take its course and what will be will be.

I had my first US about an hour ago, and the Dr. found two. Sure, I had two embryos transferred, but the kicker here is the two found are identical, in the same sac. Meaning only one embryo took, and then split. I'll have to come back in a week to see if a membrane has developed. Hopefully it has and is visible because it would "highest of the high risk" if it hasn't according to the Dr.

So as that Science Yeah! blog phrased it, TTC is pretty much one incessant worry to the next. I honestly think I would not have handled such news with nearly the calmness I can now. And that, my friends, is what makes a TTC 40+ probably the most level-headed Mommy candidate out there.
