Disappointment of not conceiving
I have been TTC and on the days prior to my period, I had most of pregnancy signs such as lots of CF, nausea, headaches, menstrual cramps... And I missed my period which was supposed to be yesterday. I was going to wait for some days to make HPT/ blood test to get assured, but sadly today, I got my period! :( It started light with pink & brown discharge but now it's the normal flow.
I'm really so disappointed. I know this is God's will but I just thought I was finally pregnant! :(
And I'm somehow discouraged to TTC again but anyway....
Any ideas on how to deal with this disappointment?

Hi I'm currently TTC my first child also,&& I know how it feels when u get AF instead of BFP but one thing I've learned is that becoming depressed or disappointed can also cause STRESS which can influence your fertility possibly send signals to your body telling it NOT to ovulate. So the best thing you can do is REMAIN POSITIVE ALWAYS!!!!
GOOD LUCK HUNN :-)

I feel your pain. I actually used to go through the same thing each month for the first 7 months we were ttc. It ended up being pseudocyesis which is when your brain makes your body believe your pregnant but you're not and you actually physically develop signs of pregnancy. Swollen boobs, enlarged abdomen, twinges. All this until AF finally does arrive a few days late, mind you and then you cry your eyes out thinking maybe you had a miscarriage when in actuality it was your brain playing tricks on you. It is sooo frustrating. It took me a while to figure it out and realize I needed to "de-stress" and go see a specialist after 9 months of trying. No one told me I had this problem. I had to figure it out myself that I can't constantly believe I'm pregnant when I'm not. Good luck on your ttc journey!!

I'm with you on that! My BF and I have been trying for over a year and each cycle, right around when AF is due, I get so anxious and then when I see that blood it makes me so disappointed.
Right now, I'm going through the same thing - except this time it looks a bit more promising. I'm usually always on time or a day or two early. Once I was a day late but got AF in the early afternoon the next day. AF was due yesterday so now I'm just waiting to either get my BFP or for AF to show up - every time I go to the bathroom I keep expecting to see the blood...but so far, nothing.
If she does show, we're going to try a couple new things to help us out, before we go the medical intervention route, so I'm still hopeful!
The best thing you can do is remember that there's always next month and while the disappointment hurts, it's worth every moment of it for the future baby that you're going to bring into this world <3

All that and a bag of chips. I swear, I can think myself into having Pregnancy symptoms instead of normal PMS. I'm at the point where I ask myself: "Now, seriously? Do you really think that there is no chance this couldn't just be normal PMS ____ to you?"
I'm actively trying this cycle to tell myself that I am NOT pregnant every chance I get, just to stop myself from getting my hopes up too much.
To be honest, though, I'm not 100% sure that it's working. I'm stubborn that way, but with the way that I am, the best way for me not to get disappointed when it doesn't happen is to not get hopeful right from the start (yeah, I know, good luck with that, right?)
All the same, may the odds be ever in your favour. :)
