TTC #1 for 2 years. Mc both times I got pregnant, normal?

Hello,

I had a miscarriage in 2012 at 7weeks. Doctors gave me cytotec (twice), but ended up having to do a D/C anyway (I wasn't sedated for it so... I rather not go through that again). This time is different. I was about 4 or 5 weeks (not sure - by my calculations only bc I have irregular cycles) and my lines were getting darker until yesterday (I had most of the pregnancy symptons). Yesterday, I took a POS (FMU) and it turned out negative (after 7 days of positives), then I started bleeding (heavily) and today I think everything passed through (I don't want to give TMI, but I think that this is not just a chemical pregnancy bc there was more than just blood and it looked similar to my first m/c). I'm just hoping I won't need a D/C. I'll see my doctor this Thursday. I have been taking clomid for 6 cycles to ovulate (100 dosage) bc I have PCOS. This is my 7th cycle.

I need to ask: Is this normal? I'm asking this because I don't know when I should see an specialist. I'll be turning 31 this year, imo is to soon to worry about my age, but it's taking a long time to get pregnant (only twice in two years TTC) and when I finally do, I can't seem to keep it for long. Could someone please give me some insight or tips or anything. Should I see an specialist, take herbs or what should I do? I'm taking Clomid, but I'm also using Conceive Plus, Pre-seed, softcups, bbt, OPKs.

I'm sending virtual hughs to everyone going through tough times. I cried a lot yesterday and my husband said to me that things happen for a reason. I do believe that, but at the moment I'm feeling confused and disappointed. I was trying not to get too carried away this time, but my feelings were stronger than I thought.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Hun

I don't have any advice for you, but I did want to share that we are very similar. Last March, after trying for six months I experienced a "missed" miscarriage at 10.5 weeks. We took a break from trying and started again this past August. It took us four months to conceive, to have it end in a chemical pregnancy at 4.5 weeks a couple of weeks ago. I don't have any answers for you and I'm so sorry for your pain and losses - know that I'm always here to listen. xoxo

Hi Joeys12,

Thank you for sharing your story and support. I'm sorry for your losses and pain too. I don't believe that we are going through this for nothing in the end. I have this personal belief that every experience, bad or good, serves a purpose. Not saying that this is something that I should be grateful for, but I don't think that I should be bitter about it. Taking something good out of the bad, that's what I'm thinking. Lots of baby dust for you and I'm here if you need someone to listen too.

Just joined & came across the thread.

I'm 31. Me & my H are TTC our first. I have PCOS and it took me about 9 months just to get a cycle going (used Soy) then conceived 3 times in fairly quick succession but lost them all (the last one was a mmc and after we'd seen the heartbeat). That was just over a year ago. Since then, we haven't been able to conceive. I have v long cycles and I've only had #6 cycles in that time.

The doc said it could be lack of progesterone and he'll give me supplements when/if I become pregnant again. But getting to be pregnant is so hard.

Meanwhile so, so many of my friends have got pregnant, including a close friend who announced it yesterday.

I don't have any advice so much as an understanding and to let you know you're not alone. As I often feel alone.

I'm sorry for your losses!
