Anyone had a hematoma during pregnancy?

I've been told after a bleed at 5 weeks that I've either got a hematoma or another sac which could contain blood, has anyone had this? It's the same size as my little bean, the nurse said it shouldn't effect my pregnancy but I'm worried, and kinds saddened that it could of been a twin and it's been lost, I'm hoping as they couldn't see the second either sac or haematoma properly that at the next scan in 2 weeks that it's twins lol xx

Same exact thing is happening to me right now. I went in for US on Wed, only 5.5 weeks. We saw the gest sac and yolk sac in it and then she pointed out another smaller sac next to it but with no yolk sac in it. I've been lightly spotting so she thinks it may be Vanishing Twin syndrome. The 3 possible explanations she gave me was:

1. Its twins and the other one just isn't as developed as its so early.
2. Vanishing Twin syndrome - could explain spotting and also one week I had slow rising hcg and then they monitored me the whole next week and everything doubled perfectly. Maybe twin passed so hcg stalled and then hcg picked up again with healthy twin.
3. Sac of blood - which could always explain spotting.

I am also on Prometrium so the tech said that could cause spotting as well.

I go back Tuesday and will be about 6.5 weeks so we should definitely know more then!

Please keep us updated on what happens with you!! Good luck!!
