My Miscarriage My Baby

LMP 10th May 2015
Positive HPT 3rd June 2015 - Happiest day ever
Due Date 14th Feb 2016 - Valentines Day

18th June (5w4d)
I took my son to the hospital for him to have a blood test, after the test I popped to the loo for one of my frequent visits! I wiped and noticed blood on the tissue, my heart skipped a beat. I went to the Emergency Department and booked myself in. I used the loo again and by now I was bleeding heavily.

I was taken to the early pregnancy unit where I waited for 4 hours for a scan during the 4 hours I bled very heavily and had moderate cramps. I was sure the baby was gone. During the scan they found the baby and its little sac on the screen, there was no heartbeat but that was because the baby was too young to have developed a heartbeat.

I was told to go home and "wait it out". Booked in for a follow up scan on 2nd July. Praying to God that my little one will hold on.

19th June - 20th June - heavy bleeding continued
21st June - bleeding becomes even heavier
22nd June - extremely heavy bleeding and then what can only be described as contractions started! Rushed to hospital where I improved over several hours. By now I'm sure the baby must have certainly gone. The doctor booked me in for a scan on 25th June. He said there is a chance the baby could still be ok. My hopes rebuilt "please be ok little one"

23rd June - I met my baby. He/she came out, bigger than I expected but obviously not formed. I'm devastated

You'll always be my baby no matter how early the miscarriage was or how many people think I shouldn't have an emotional connection to a 6w embryo. You're my embryo, forever my baby xxxxxxxxxxxx
