2Frsty I am no longer on clomid. They stopped it because they said there was no point when our recent sperm analysis showed a very low sperm count. In fact the sperm motility is so bad they won't even do normal IVF, we go straight to ICSI (might be a year before we get to the top of the waiting list though). I always ovulated on my own anyway, just irregularly. I know miracles can happen, and I desperately hope one will happen for us, but I can't expect it to or I will be constantly disappointed!

Shelob--> I completely understand. I was TTC for TWELVE years before I conceived my son. I was finally OK with my life without children. And that's when it happened. It wasn't when I gave up, or when I "quit trying" which is what everyone will tell you. It was when I had reached that place of acceptance, and was finally completely fine with the path my life had headed down. And I understand how "expecting" can make you crazy. I just hope that you don't give up hope!

Thanks 2Frsty :) We haven't given up hope yet. In fact I got some great news today. I have an appointment lined with with the specialist in a few weeks time. At that we will discuss our IVF options and find out what the next steps are. That is exciting as I really do feel in limbo.

You know I had that thought about the "not trying" vs "acceptance" thing. When we got pregnant after the first year of trying we were certainly still "trying" but I had just started a new job and realised that that would perhaps not be the best time to get pregnant, and even taking the new job was a form of acceptance that things weren't happening the way we had expected. Then bam pregnant. But we miscarried that one. It is rather unfortunate that your have to basically get to a place of no longer wanting a baby in order to get pregnant. Doesn't seem right or fair! I think that is the only way I could accept not getting pregnant. Having said that, if I had been trying for 12 years it might be a different story! But in 12 years time I will probably be in menopause. Sigh.

Shelob--> I understand that, too! I had always (as a girl in my 20s when I 1st started trying) told everyone that I was going to be DONE having kids by the time I was 30...I didn't even get pregnant until I was 30 with the 1st one! I have come to know God's sense of humor all to well!

AFM: Today was a whirlwind of symptoms, the more notable was the crazy heightened sense of smell! Even things as mundane as peanut butter would set my tummy rolling! I'm 7-8 dpo and still getting on every test I take, but I swear something's going on! I've had a headache all day, too! Keeping my for a tomorrow or the next day! I ordered a bunch more ovulation and pregnancy tests, just in case though.

shelob - hope you have your car back by now, or soon!!
i really hope you get pregnant naturally, i've seen many stories of women told it's not possible and it happens! tracking probably is good information for your doc. i heard about ICSI from reading what to expect before you're expecting. sorry you have to do that, but it's best to give you the best chances when you do IVF.

2Frsty - that's my thought, i'd take one baby!! i would fall over if somehow i got two. glad you have a healthy 6 month old boy :) i can't get over that it took 12 years for your lil miracle :) my 'original plan' was to have 2 kids by 30.... here i am at 30 with no baby :( but i didn't start trying until 28 and then had all my health problems. good luck testing! it's still early!

AFM, CD 14. i ovulated last night and/or today. OPK+ yesterday. fertile CM last few days. been BD'ing. my chart is on my profile if anyone is interested. normally i get killer ovulation cramps and i barely felt uncomfortable this time?!?! so weird!!! i'm really hoping both eggs popped and are tango'ing with sperm :) temp already started a rise this AM.

3/4 DPO. strangely have had lots of watery and EWCM this fertile period, which is awesome! what isn't awesome is DH wasn't able to do as much BD'ing as I would've liked to, so we only did the day prior and the day of the positive opk, so really hoping it works! normal early signs of nipple sensitivity have kicked in and temps seem to be going up nicely. anyone curious can look at my profile. will likely start testing in a few days because i'm crazy :)

where you girls at??? especially stacey, what happened with all the eggs??

Firsttime--> That's really awesome about the EWCM! I've never charted my cm (I have really no idea HOW to check (I never know what I'm feeling for down there! ) but I do know that it's supposed to make sex more comfy! Which for women with PCOS that can be an issue. So enjoy!

Stacey--> You've been on my mind a lot lately, too! What's up with you and your awesome ovaries, Lady?!

AFM: arrived this morning! A little bummed, but I have to say that I'm not surprised. Like I said, DH and I conceived DS on the 1st cycle with Clomid by accident last time; I had a feeling we wouldn't be so lucky this time! Considering to try the soft cup this cycle...

Stacey35 I hope you are okay!

2Frsty sorry to hear AF arrived :( I hate the hormone drop that accompanies it and felt it was worse on clomid. I hope you are holding up okay.

Firsttimemommy30 we don't get the car back until Friday. At least it won't cost us anything because of insurance! The doctors don't care about my tracking data at all, interestingly enough. My GP did, she was impressed and that helped speed up the referral, but the specialists trust blood tests and scans far more. When we do IVF with ICSI they take over control of your cycle so there is no point in charting at all because they make your body do things in their own timing through drug control. I am still charting but not bothering with the OPKs at the moment. We will start using them again after my husband has been on his supplements for a few months as then there is the hope that his sperm will have improved :)

So, I am on CD12 today. No sogn of fertile CM at all. Temps have gone way down. I feels weird being back to a non-clomid cycle. The charting pattern is so much different! How will I know when I am going to ovulate without the intense pain??

2Frsty - there's some articles out there with pictures and descriptions of the main types of CM. once i knew what i was looking for and when to expect them it really helped to teach me what they were. google is my friend :) what # clomid cycle is this now?? sorry about AF :(

shelob - yay for insurance when you don't have to pay anything!! i suppose if they are using that many meds to control the cycle that tracking goes out the window. and i suppose they will only do IVF with ICSI if they are using all those drugs, i doubt they go au natural. after your DH does those supplements will you do another SA??

AFM, 4/5 DPO today. normal painful bbs started last night, nipples still sensitive, occasional dull cramps, all pretty normal for me. this thursday is my progesterone check to see if i FINALLY have a normal level, which would FINALLY be a good chance for a baby to implant if we made one!

Firsttime--> I'm heading into cycle #2 on Clomid. As much as it sucks that AF showed, I'm not as bummed as I used to get when TTC. I look at it this way: that just puts DS one more month closer to being off the bottle and out of diapers when the new baby arrives!

AFM: Not much to report tonight. Got a few things accomplished today that have been looming for a while, so that helped to put a positive rounding to the day. Starting Clomid 50 mg tomorrow. I'm trying to be more diligent with my temping this cycle, so I will have a better idea of what's going on in my body!
