Any Military TTC Families?

A bit about me:
DH and I were TTC for 5 yrs before we got our 1st ever with our son; John will be 2 this September. DH went back on active duty in the US Army in January 2014, and we started TTC again then (DS was only 4 mo when we started TTC, since it took so long with him.) I have PCOS and DH has low sperm volume but the count, morphology, and motility were good. TTC one mo on Metformin alone, 6 mo on Clomid (increasing doses from 50 mg to 100 mg), 1 mo on Soy Isoflavones, then 1 mo (last cycle before DH left) I had an HSG and took Femara. Had a CP in May and July 2014, but nothing else. In September our TTC train came to a screeching halt for obvious reasons (kinda hard to make a baby with Daddy over 3,000 miles away!) Well.... DH is coming home in THREE DAYS!!! My next cycle is supposed to start on 10 June, and I've already got a 6 month prescription for Femara, my OPKs, my HPTs, and I've dusted off my thermometer to chart my BBT. I think I'm going to wait a cycle before delving into the BBT insanity though. Praying hard for a quick and a

Are there any other military TTC-ers out there who can relate and/or anyone who's DH has to go away on business for extended periods of time??

I hope today's appointment is super positive for you. Full of optimism and encouragement, with a side off knowledge.

Sorry to have been so quiet lately - with DH on leave, we've been pulled a thousand different ways. Everyone and their brother's dog is wanting to see us, and I've been dealing with a pissy ass toddler since we got here.

I hope both of you are enjoying your time off. My appointment pretty much went off without a hitch. The doctor didn't even have to examine me, he gathered specimens for tests and I go back in three weeks for a sonogram and a follow-up. He's pretty sure I have PCOS so I'm pretty bummed (as if I needed more obstacles to getting pregnant...) so I'm continuing with my weight loss to make treatment a little bit easier. Luckily, DH and I had already decided to take this cycle off (I'm not tracking it, since AF never came, but I'm still referring to it as a new cycle) because the doctor doesn't think I'm ovulating and he's not going to jumpstart it like my PCP did back in May. I'm going to take it easy and try not to stress too much, hopefully there will be something they can do to help me ovulate once September gets here and we're really ready to hit it hard again. I'll still be on CTP everyday.

Welp, since I've been getting nothing but a BFN and today is 13 dpo, I'm about 90% positive that this was not my cycle. Good news is:I got DH to agree to have them send me to San Antonio to actually see the FERTILITY SPECIALIST! He's still not cheesed up about doing an IUI, but hopefully they'll switch up my meds and still let us BD the old fashioned way. So I'm finally to the point where I'm either wanting to get a BFP, or for AF to start. I'm so done with this damn cycle.

Thankfully, finally showed. God, I was sooooo over this cycle! I peed on an obscene amount of money with nothing but a crap ton of evaps to show for it. So onward we go!

Linda: I was/am the same way. Whenever my showed up, I wanted to show herself immediately so I could get on with my life and get back at it. There were sometimes she was quite agreeable and came the same day, unholy hag...

PCOS isn't a death sentence! I've had 4 children, plus three other pregnancies. And I have hope that I will have more! There are so many options out now, compared to 15 years ago.

Today is laundry day and CD 12. I have never done an extended letrozole cycle. I am curious to see how it goes. Especially since my husband is going away for all of August. I wouldn't mind morning sickness with him gone if it means I am pregnant.

So far I haven't gotten any morning sickness (I never did with my son either) but I get buyer's remorse almost each time I eat. I get an uncomfortably full, gross feeling, which I only got with meat last time. However, I am tired like a boss. It just randomly started over the weekend and hasn't let up... I didn't have this last pregnancy or at least back then I Could take naps whenever I pleased... The joys of pregnancy! That's what we all put so much time, effort and money into, right?

Hey Amanda - anything you wanna tell I????Kids??? Any new "developments" in your life right now? ????

AFM: Looks like last cycle turned out to be a chemical. All the VERY VERY VERY light bfps I got before we left on leave had darkened by the time we got home into very clear bfps. AF showed a day early and although it wasn't super heavy, I was cramping like a bitch! Now I know why. And that was from my first extended Femara regimen. So looks like its worth the hassle of the extra 5 days! I forgot to bring my Femara with me to IL (because my gut was telling me that I was pregnant and I wouldn't need it) so when AF showed, I couldn't start my extended dosage then. So now I'm stuck doing a 5 day regimen this cycle. Instead of taking 2.5 mg for 10 days, I'm going to take 5 mg for 5 days. Ugh, this 5 mg dose kicked my ass today though. I ended up with a full blown migraine! Think tomorrow I may take one in the morning and the other pill at night to spread out the hormones. I've also got a call into my GYN to beg her to put me on a dose of progesterone for after O. Even with Clomid and/or Femara, my 21 day P4 has never been above 11 out of the 9 cycles I've had monitored. "Technically" anything over 3 constitutes ovulation, but on an assisted cycle your progesterone should be over 15. So Idk why she would have trouble with giving it to me! It couldn't hurt!!

On a much brighter note, DH bought me a new car today! Well, new to me anyways! It's a 2013 Dodge Dart SXT. It's gorgeous! It gets twice the gas mileage that my V8 Grand Prix was getting; its got a 6 speed standard transmission, so I should be able to do even better than they claim!

How's everyone else's week going?
