Been TTC for 3 Years

Hi! I am new to this website but I am very excited about it. My husband and I have been TTC for just over three years now without any success. I know I have PCOS and I did 3 months of Clomid this last summer and nothing came from it. My husband and I have been moving around since my 3 months of Clomid so we decided to try not to worry about trying to get pregnant until we got a little more settled. I am now starting to look for a good doctor that can help us figure out what to do. My husband and I are very new to the whole concept of having troubles getting pregnant. Everyone is both of our big families and all of our friends have been able to get pregnant their first or second try. So if anyone has any wisdom on the matter, things I should be looking for in a doctor or any advice at all I would be so grateful for it. I majored in child development in college so I know stuff about pregnancy and such but nothing about problems getting pregnant or infertility. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi there. We have been trying for 2 years now. Wee are also both from big families and we each have a sister who has no problems getting pregnant.

Regarding a doctor, things are different in different countries, but how it works over here is New Zealand is that your GP refers you to a specialist and you don't get to pick who (unless you choose to pay). So we have just rolled on through the system. I have had 5 unsuccessful rounds of clomid and starting my 6th today. Have you had the main test done (blood, sperm analysis)? I have PCOS too but mildly. I am the underweight kind so cant use that to help me.

Thank you for your response. Some times it is just so nice to know that I am not the only one out there who is having these same problems.

Hopefully the 6th time will be the lucky one for you and you will be able to get pregnant. =)

I have had blood test done and my husband has a sperm analysis and everything looks fine. Hopefully we will figure something out.

Hi girls....I have been TTC for 3 1/2 years now. We haven't really had much testing done since my DH's insurance doesn't cover ANY fertility stuff. I have 2 kids from a previous marriage (13 and 15) and DH has no kids. His first wife has PCOS and never conceived. I began to suspect the issue was him last year and purchased a microscope to check sperm. And lo and behold I found like....2. I was upset. So we started him on fertilaid but not consistently. I have him on fertiliad and countboost starting this month to try to boost his numbers. I don't think I have any issues except my age really. I am 35 now. I have regular cycles and good BBT charts, OPKs, CM etc. So I assume I ovulate normally. I know my chances are low to conceive but I still have that little bit of hope every month....
