Okay ladies. Would you be frustrated by this? I had a mid cycle on CD 11. Three follicles - 14, 15, and 15. They decided to do another mid cycle on CD 15, which is tomorrow. Today, CD 14, I got a positive OPK. So it's going to be too late, right? I mean, if I have a mid cycle tomorrow it will be too late to trigger and wouldn't they like have to do the IUI tomorrow? I know it depends on the ultrasound tomorrow and whether or not I have ovulated yet, but I feel like getting a positive OPK today means at least I won't be able to use the trigger, right? I got it today around maybe 12:30pm or so.

~K

I would BD tonight, trigger tomorrow, and iui on Tuesday. Or just do iui tomorrow with no trigger.

@Red - do you think it's too late to trigger since I already have the LH surge? My appointment is at 9:15 so we will see.... we will def BD tonight.

Did you guys survive Mother's Day?

Momtobeeee
This is my second cycle in a row of IUI and Donor Insemiation with my wife. I've used Clomid, estrogen to build my lining as it was a bit thin this time and progesterone suppositories after the IUI. They've said at my clinic that they will do three attempts and then see the consultant again to see if there's anything different we can do. Unfortunately it's not covered by any form of health insurance here in England either. Although there is something where I might be able to get a cycle of IUI on the National Health for free if I've had 3 privately.

I'm 12days post IUI today and so this morning I tested and got a BFN on a first response early result test. I started to feel something like period cramps last night so I guess that's a no then. Such a shame because I had two really good follicles this time and the sperm prepared really well with 16 million little swimmers with a 72% motility. I suppose there's no point being too disappointed though as this is not he child we are meant to have and when we have our little bundle of joy we won't be wishing we had a different one earlier will we.

WhileI'mwaiting- That is frustrating! Do they not let you trigger yourself mid cycle after the OPK tests positive? That's how they've done it with me. Once the follicle is getting close they have me do OPK every day and if I was positive trigger and have IUI the next day. They know what they're doing though. You can trigger and IUI on the same day.

Good luck everybody. I think I'm out but I'll test again at 14 dpiui to be sure. If AF stays away until Saturday I might be able to go straight into another cycle, if it comes early I might miss the boat as we're away this week and I can't get to the clinic until Monday! ????

White - this is super frustrating and I hope you will find out more at your appointment. Every clinic has a different procedure. One time I was surging and they told me to take the trigger shot that day (immediately) and I went in for IUI next day. Just BD BD BD as much as you can.

Essemkay - so sorry girl.

Good morning ladies,

While - That is super frustrating. I really hope you didn't miss the window. Please let us know how the appointment goes today. As for Mother's day, I felt like I survived it by becoming a hermit.

KP - I'm sorry that you got a BFN. I'm hoping it's just early. I hope if AF does come she stays away long enough for you to go directly into the next cycle.

Essemkay - I'm so sorry.

AFM - I think I'm starting to get my PMS symptoms. I'm really looking forward to getting on with things. I'm really hoping this is my month!

Yesterday was a bit emotional for me, I'm sure I'm not the only one. I had to get off the phone with my family. They were skyping with my sister and my niece. As much as I love my niece, I found it really difficult to listen to people oohing and ahhing over her. It didn't help that I really couldn't be part of the conversation as I couldn't see the video feed. I know they didn't mean anything by it but it made me feel horrible just being there to listen to everyone else without really being included in the conversation.

I'm with you basia, I had to stop going on FB yesterday because it was all baby and mothers day pictures. I even had trouble on amazon as it keeps recommending baby stuff for me to purchase.

While--I would say if you got a positive OPK then there would be no need for your trigger shot--or at least that's what my clinic does. The day I'm surging (+ OPK), they schedule my IUI for the following day, as you usually ovulate the following day.

I don't know exactly how your clinic works, but I would call them and see if you can see them today? Or...potentially see if you can do your IUI tomorrow?

Rest of the ladies---UGHHH.....THANK YOU! I spent my Mother's Day in a combination of frustration, sadness, burst into tears a few times...and Facebook certainly made things worse. I vowed I wouldn't go on anything social media, but of course I did. I should not have...I guess I was expecting some of my close friends to reach out and say..."thinking about you"...or something? I guess that's too much to ask, I didn't receive any messages like that. It's hard when it's so clear to you that you're struggling, and why isn't everyone else more sensitive? I guess they're just living in their lives and can't see it from my perspective. Just hard not to be a little bitter...

I'm waiting at my appointment now in the exam room. Thank you all so much for your feedback.

Mother's Day I think was tougher for me last year than this year. So that's good. These holidays can be so hard!!

Will update soon!
