CD1...again. Anyone in the same boat wanna be cycle buddies?

Hey lovely ladies,

So the witch has come, again (hate her ). So I'm back to CD1 TTC#1. Last few months I've only been using CP to judge Ovulation but this month I'm going to use OPK's (I literally just bought a bunch on ebay) and I'm going to try eating Pinapple core for the 5 days after Ovulation - which seems like forever away right now so I would love someone to wait with.

Are any of you ladies in the same boat? I would just love to have some friends to wait with. I was part of a lovely group of girls last cycle and they all got their BFP's - I must bring luck, luck of the Irish .

Hate being back at CD1 but hopefully April will be a great month for us all

@MrsGenuineSunshine SOooooooo super glad it went well - I just knew it would
Have you been taking OPK's I'm still I few days off starting to take them. My Yes Baby (like preseed) arrived this morning. Excited to try it out . So I got my Thermometer but my temps seem to be all over the place - that's not normal , right? How's all with you? How was your weekend?

@SootSprite17 Welcome So glad that we have another cycle buddy, MrsGenuineSunshine and I are both waiting to Ov too so we're all in the same boat. Have you Ov'd yet? Do you temp orally? I must creep on your charts so I can get a better idea of what's normal. I am so so so sorry to hear about the MC I know how you feel to a certain extent as I had a MC too at 7 weeks it's utterly heartbreaking. How are you holding up? Have you tried the pineapple core? I'm trying that this month to help it stick ;)

Hoping and praying we all get our BFP's this month, how exciting would that be?

Good morning ladies!

I have a Dr. appt this morning to do some preliminary blood screening - checking out progesterone levels and the like, as we think that may be part of the issue why the little beans won't stick. Hopefully we will have some good news, or at least something we can work with .

I actually temp vaginally, and I've found that helps in keeping my temps from fluctuating like crazy. I do know there are a lot of factors that can effect temp. You have to make sure you move as LITTLE as possible before you take it, and make sure you don't eat or drink anything before. Also, if you take your temp orally, if you sleep with your mouth open that can change things A LOT. Restless sleep or a serious lack of solid sleep will effect it too - you need a solid block of at least 3 hours to get reliable numbers. So much work, but it's worth it!

I have not O'd yet, but I'm coming up on my predicted fertile period so I will start using OPKs soon. I usually only use them once a day (in the afternoon because that's when LH levels are most accurate in urine) and then twice a day as it gets really close to O time (in the morning and again in the afternoon) so I don't miss the surge. Also, on top of this website I use Fertility Friend too because their data seems to be pretty spot on, plus I like having a backup charting system .

How is everyone else doing??

Welcome SootSprite! I'm so sorry for your loss. It's never easy, no matter how or when it happens . I'm thrilled you're trying again with us ! You and I are on the same cycle day, with ELGTrying two days after. So I'm REALLY curious which day you usually O since you're using OPKs? My predicted date (after talking with the OBGYN) should be around the 24-25 of this month.

@ELGtrying My OPK's should be arriving tomorrow by 8 pm, so I won't be able to use them till Wednesday morning. Worst case scenario I O early and only catch the tail end of it, or not at all. I'm really excited to see if the Yes Baby works or not!

My temps have been all over the place with this morning dropping really low , so I'm thinking that dip might be a sign of O (but I won't know until the next three temps are a degree higher). I've been reading and it says after you O, your next three temps should be higher than your past six temps. Who knows if that rule is true??

This weekend was full of crazy weather (flooding Friday/Saturday and hail last night) us trying to finish up the renovation on one of our bathrooms and installing a front door for the neighbor. I keep joking with DH that when I'm pregnant that I won't be able to help him anymore so we better get it all wrapped up now.

He keeps hounding me asking "Are you fertile today?" EVERYDAY - I've been using the app Kindara to chart as well. There's an alarm you can set to take your temp - too bad there's not one for DH! We're keeping to the BD every other day in hopes this cycle is the one. I'm for all of us!

Hello MrsGenuineSunshine!

So glad we can all have such an awesome support system - thank you for the warm welcome!

Unfortunately my cycles are SUPER irregular. I was on the pill and Implanon collectively for 10 years straight and stopped contraception in July of last year - I think my body is STILL trying to figure out what's going on! Of the cycles I've had that are similar, I seem to O around CD 13 to 17. Last month, though, was my first cycle after the 5 week miscarriage and I didn't O till CD 25 so....yea.

As far as temps go, that is definitely true - if you're charting your BBT, O will be confirmed by at least 3 high temps compared to the average of all your previous ones (if that makes sense). Usually the charts will also factor in details like cervical position, cervical mucous, and any positive OPKs so I'd record as much data as you feel comfortable doing, that way everything is as accurate as possible.

I'm in the same boat with DH, except he knows that it's mainly just (TMI alert!) my nipples that get super sensitive when I'm about to O, so he constantly asks me, "How are your boobs feeling??" Haha, men.

for all you ladies!

Hey ladies,

I'm going to start temping vaginally now tomorrow morning and chart the crap out of this cycle hehe
I just KNOW we're gonna see some BFP's this month in our lil community... hopefully 3 bfp's I must look into getting one of those apps so that I can chart on my phone too.

@SootSprite17 best of luck in the doctors, I hope it's all good news or something they can at least advise you on. That's what they're for. Let us know how you get on!

I can't wait until we're all posting symptoms here I get no symptoms of ov at all, I'm so jealous that you get tender nipples @MrsGenuineSunshine . Wish my body had an LCD screen that just told me what was going on it there

The weather in Ireland is BEAUTIFUL at the moment, blue skies and super warm, so I'm getting to go for long walks to clear my mind.

Hope you're both having a fab day :)

Hello ladies!

Just a quick update: today I'm starting to get my typical pre-O symptoms! Ever so slightly tender nipples and some EWCM . I'm hoping O happens in the next 2 days as I will be out of town for a work retreat (minus DH) smack-dab in the middle of my fertile period . No positive OPK yet, so will keep peeing (probably twice a day now) till I get some strong lines. we get in under the wire!

How is everyone else doing? Any updates to help the rest of us through the boring work day?

Hello Ladies!

@SootSprite - Such a bummer you'll be traveling! I've heard it can throw off your O date so I'm hoping your cycle stays the same and ya'll are able to catch it in time!

@ELGtrying - I just read your journal and I'm so happy that you've been able to find that inner hope that keeps us going. So glad the weather is nice enough to go for a stroll! I live in Texas and our weather is crazy right now.

Nothing terribly exciting going on yet. My OPK's should be arriving by the end of today - YAY! DH was asking me over lunch today what they are and laughed at me for getting them, but I'm super excited to start using them tomorrow!

My CM shifted from white to opaque but not a whole lot yet. No actual signs or symptoms yet of O. My temp did dip again today - but that's because I've been waking up and temping around 3:30 am as opposed to sleeping through till 5 am.

DH and I have been staying on schedule and BD every other day - so I'm praying that 3 is our lucky number! Three months of TTC and us three cycle buddies!

Hey ladies,

Just stopping in real quick, my grandfather sadly passed yesterday so I've been super busy.

My OPK's are faint but getting darker, but I'm still 7ish days off predicted O. But I've a concern, right now my cervix is ssssuuuuper high but tilted to the side and I can't feel the opening (sorry tmi)what if it doesn't tilt down for O? The swimmers will never find their way in :/ Have either of you experienced this? I'm really stressing out about it.

I forgot to temp the other few mornings but started back today- and vaginally this time, so I'll be really regimental about it from now on.

Hope you're both well, you must be BD'ing loads now, you are both in your fertile days no? Ahhhhh exciting.

Good afternoon @ELGtrying (or whatever time of day it might be where you are)!

So sorry to hear about your grandfather . How are you holding up? Losing a family member is never easy, but we're here for you if you need anything at all.

I've never had my cervix tilt to the side like that, but I really doubt it's anything to worry about right now. If you're still 7 days out from O, I'm sure it will be in a better position by the time your swimmers are ready to meet that egg .

I know my cervix position will sometimes change like crazy throughout the day, and that's only a 12 hour period or so!

You'll have to let me know if temping vaginally ends up working better for you too .

Going to take an OPK this evening to see if I get my positive, cross your fingers the big O comes before I leave town (and DH) tomorrow - or at least that all our BDing before then catches that eggie!

Hope everyone's doing well!

Hello Ladies,

@ELGtrying I am so sorry to hear your grandfather passed. I hope you're taking care of yourself, that you're family is loving and supportive during this rough time and that you're doing okay.

I'm not sure what a "normal" position for a cervix is because mine isn't centered really. I've always been told my uterus is malpositioned to the left, but have been told several times this shouldn't effect us being able to conceive. Personally, I can only feel around the "front" of my cervix but never behind it, not too sure what others feel...However the "googler" (after reading a few articles) say that your cervix position doesn't effect conception, because the swimmers can swim through the CM at any angle. No more added stress missy!

When are you going to start your OPK testing? It would crack me up if we ended up O'ing on the say day !

@SootSprite Did you get your positive OPK last night? I tested last night and it was negative. Tested again this morning at 11am and still negative. I'm going to test twice a day starting today at 11am and 6pm, but I'm thinking I'll probably O on the 25-26.

Because of the BD I can't really chart my CM very accurately - so that info is kind of useless right now. HOWEVER - the Kindara app tells me today is the first day of my fertile window, from now until the 27. DH has been a champ about it, if not more eager than I am. Can live with 'em - can't live without 'em !

I'm sending all my - and to both of you!!
