Hi with my HSG l had period like bleeding for 3 days, mayb every1 is different but if it's causing you discomfort l would b calling the doc, give it a few more days 2 settle

I know this is an older thread, but just wondering if you ended up having an infection? I was warned that I could possibly end up with an infection after my hsg.

It did not end up being an infection. I believe my recovery was particularly rough because one of the tubes was not patent and the dr tried to forcefully push the dye through to clear any blockages. :(

omg, I'm becoming less and less confident in doctors with the more stories like this that I hear :-( My doctor was extremely gentle, but it appears that he was a minority. Did you end up with a BFP since this post?

No :( my husband is in the military and when didn't get a chance to actually try all of last year. I just had my first round of iui last week but I'm not feeling hopeful because everything I've read with people with endometriosis and iui, there aren't a lot of success stories.

What made you choose IUI over IVF? Other than the obvious price differences?

My Dr. Recommend 4 rounds of iui then IVF. But I'm considering jumping straight to IVF if this round doesn't work. It looks like we will have to wait another 6 months though with my husbands schedule. You've caught me in a bad mood because I just found out today my husbands schedule and it doesn't look like we will be able to freeze any of his sperm before he leaves.

I am so sorry :-( I understand how frustrating it is and how you are just mad at everyone. I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you have success with your recent IUI. Why would a dr. recommend 4 rounds? I feel like that's just a reason to get more money from you. I am currently waiting for the fertility clinic that we were referred to to call us back to set up our first appointment and have no idea what to expect. Anyways, I hope your bfp is closer than you think.

It's definitely a frustrating process that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Good luck seeing the fertility specialist! It definitely feels good to be actively getting treatment because you feel like you're one step closer to a solution.
